Not really. If he does play I'd imagine Coloccini to be more the attacking defender and Cacapa to sweep. It's not up to them though, if davies has any intelligence he'll stick to Cacapa and just follow him around when they have set pieces and the ball in defence, if Collocini goes as well to mark him that's two players he's taken up and leaves more room for others. At least Taylor wins a few in the air.

I don't want to put a downer on anyone but Taylor last season played well against the bigger teams, cos we tend to sit back further so everything is in front of him as he just stands on the edge of the box, his downfall is against weaker teams when we push further up the pitch and he has to position himself. But he did do well and made some good blocks, challenges and one header especially when it was him on his own against 2 Man U players.

Him and Barton could be a very good partnership I reckon. Love the way he never panics and has that canny ability to wriggle away and make a yard for himself when under pressure.
