  1. Class goal from T, shows he's still got something.
  2. I'd take 3, he's worth about 4 i'd say in today's market so 3 would be about right.
  3. A clean two footed tackle? Didn't look two-footed to me. Won* the ball with his right leg, left leg was trailing behind. Some very dodgy decisions by the referee at the end all in all. Yeah, but these days it doesn't matter if you win the ball. The tackle looked dangerous, and he went in with 2 feet. In my opinion it was a great challenge, but sadly these days you're not allowed to tackle people. When you're coming in straight towards the ball you physically can't do anything other than go in studs up, toe first and any impact at all will break your foot. That ref was shit, proper tosser. I hope the bloke who reffed Italy/Holland gets more games, he got everything right (apart from the debatable goal obviously but that was the lino's fault) and let the game flow wherever he could. Shit game coming up, 1-1 I reckon.
  4. Or the fact that he had Messi and Bojan to compete with for a place in the side.
  5. Fuck me. Top prospect then, he's only just turned 19. Who said he was too lightweight for La Liga?
  6. 2 yet to prove that they are top players Well...yeah in the premiership. But they both have undoubted talent. They have Bale to come back too, who's quality as well imo.
  7. I think Ramos' notable signings so far have been Dos Santos, Modric and Woodgate (was that Ramos?). 3 top players.
  8. Agree mate. thing is though, spurs have proved now they can go out and get players of that calibre. I know a lot of people think Dos Santos is overrated but he is in the bracket of players I'd hope we would be in for, players capable of getting a midtable team into a champions league team. Now we've lost out on two of these players to Spurs who would have improved our team dramatically. For me that is worrying. I agree that we wouldn't be far off with players like you've mentioned, but I've got to be honest, I'm sceptical at this moment in time whether such players will join. I read today also that Moutinho was in talks with Everton, don't know the accuracy of that but that worries me as well, not in the fact that we aren't signing them, just that other clubs can now offer the money we could previously and seem to be more attractive. I could be talking bollocks but I am a bit worried about a few things. Hopefully after the Euro's we'll see a bit more activity.
  9. Agree with that. you'd also have agreed with it this time last season ? No last year I thought we had a chance of finishing above them. I'm saying at this moment in time, with who they've bought, they ARE a mile ahead of us in terms of quality. I haven't read the Turan thread, but if we're interested in that sort of player that's a good sign and we can also mount a serious challenge for fourth in maybe 2 years. But you can't deny you'd swap their squad for ours right now, surely?
  10. Agree with that. I don't, because it's bollocks. I don't care how much they spend, until they prove it on the pitch they are NOT miles ahead of us. Ramos is a great manager. Modric, Dos Santos and Woodgate; their his signings so far, yeah? Don't know about you but I think those three are absolute class and a cut above what they've bought in previous years. When you look at Liverpool, who are reported to be after players like Barry and especially Milner ffs, it seems like they're on the way down and Spurs for me are close behind them now (with the exception of a keeper and another centre back) If Berbatov stays I think they'll push for 4th. Hope not though. Hope I'm wrong.
  11. That Chelsea one is soo nice.

  13. Hopefully that is true.
  14. Fuck, I hope it isn't like that. Nice job shopping them though.
  15. Capdevilla was the one who looked the most dodgy. The only thing about the Spanish is they like to piss about with it far too long in midfield, against a good team they won't be allowed to do that and the front two will get isolated imo. The Russians were terrible at the back, so disorganised.
  16. ElDiablo

    Aaron Spear

We're signing players younger than me now, i'm getting old. :'(
  17. Possibly my favourite player ever outside Newcastle, just so accurate and creative on the ball.
  18. Bullshit tactics. Two in front of the back four with the full backs hardly ever getting forward. Ugggh, other game better make up for it. I fancy Holland.
