Also, pardon me if i'm being a bit thick here, but how do we know who we'll be sitting with? Is there a neutral bit for these tickets?
-
would also like to know this No doubt you could just sell them on, probably make a nice profit.

Some great results + Some crap results = Satisfactory

Cheers, what's the other semi, anyone know?

How slllooowww did run that seem?
-
Pitch looked shit aswell.

Not sure why he'd want to dive there, he'd already done the hard work ,ball already passed the keeperand had a tap in. What's the point in risking missing the pen when you can just stick it into an empty net yourself?

I haven't read the pre-match thread, but if their a team made up of detectives and cobblers, how are they in the last 16 of a major European compeition? Do a spurs or something?
-
Did you all get a free shirt or something?
-
Easy mistake to make, done it loadsa times. And it is half-term, who doesn't keep track of what day it is? Just me then.

Didn't Shola miss a guilt edge one from about 6 yards too? And hit it straight at Barthez?
-
No Oh, that's what he meant. Cheers Dave.

He said "big boys" meaning the big clubs that consistently finish above us, not a couple of clubs that have done it once or twice in 15 years. ^-^ At no point does he state that, to be frank.
-
Watford, only because my uncle designs thier programme and can get free tickets to any game. I'd rather watch the toon and Man utd than Crewe and Plymouth tbh.
-
I take your points and fair enough, opinions at the end of the day.
-
It doesn't actually state that but fair enough.
-
They finished above us, so they must be better, no? Therefore in theory, technically etc. they are better than us. And picking up results against teams finishing above us last season is an improvement. Obviously in reality terms I think otherwise but in that sense it's true.

Agreed. It pays to be wary when signing players for big money who have only had one decent season at the top level. Applies to Sidwell and Reo-Coker imo. Among others. Sidwell's on a free as i'm sure you know, only reason I mentioned him. Otherwise he shouldn't be touched. I actually pay very little attention to whether players are on a free or not as whatever is saved in the fee to a club will likely to go the player in signing on fee and wages, plus agent pay-off anyway. They still cost. What and if we'd payed a fee the player wouldn't have got his signing on fee and the agent wouldn't have been payed off? Including these payments however, I'd see us getting Sidwell in on a free a tidy deal.

Far from what I said, assuming your talking to me. Just saying that based on a few games at the top level Grosso's now a world beater. (which he is in a way seeing as his team won the thing). I doubt you or any of us has seen as much of Grosso as needed to make such a judgement on him. To be in the worlds best XI, IMO you've got to have done more than had an excellent world cup.

They finished above us last season, so technically they are better than us. I think he's just pointing out the fact we've done well against teams better than us in theory. I doubt he actually thinks Blackburn and Spurs are 'big boys'.

Grosso was nowhere before the world cup, now being mentioned in the bracket of best left backs in the world. He played well, but come on, who's actually seen him week in week out? Same goes for Lahm.

Against the actual big boys (Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd) We've already picked up 5 points and we're still to play a few of them. Still not bad.
