And i think the midfield did ok considering tonight, and if Sheff utd are as just as hard to break down as Palermo are, we are buggered. We will get chances, Parker or no Parker, it just remains to be seen whether we can score enough to of them to win a game in the premiership - which has been a rareity.

Because Parker is supposed to be 'leading by example' as captain. It would give the rest of the team who are performing well up to a point, a good kick up the arse i.e Solano, Martins and get us on the way to winning some games. Parker is the core of the problem as far as the players we DO have instead of defence where its always a case of who we DON'T have. We need to start getting out arses into gear with the team we have and forget january, where no doubt a lot of people will be expecting a miracle turn around, and leaving Parker out would be a good change imo.

Yet strangely looked much more open and vulnerable against a shite Charlton side. Could be the formation i suppose but Parker is over-rated. Watch him on saturday - i guarentee when say solano or his fellow cm has the ball, instead of moving and creating space he will be standing watching. I agree, but too much of it sometimes and sometimes a little too enthusastic with chasing the ball down, which often leads to Emre being left on his own in the middle whilst the other team break. Yep it's a shame about the captain thing, think it would give the whole team a kick up the arse if he was dropped though, show that noones safe.

The balance in the midfield was there with butt and emre there, they compliment each other so much more than a parker combination. First time in ages i was actually half confident we weren't going to concede through the middle.

Put in some good performances at the end of last season. Was lookin forward to seeing him a bit more this term. It can't hurt to play him against Watford in the Carling cup surely, giving someone a much needed rest. can't be any worse than Milner atm anyways.

Yeah, it's scaring me that after the game today, i didn't even feel that bothered. And was more pleased with the point than angry that we didn't win. Depressing.
