Brilliant little player. Hopefully, our one wont be too far off that level if he continues to improve (talking about Newcastle, ie Martins). Hopefully, Villa does have it all though. His game isn't particularly based around anything like Martins' pace. The best thing about Villa imo is his brilliant football brain, can pick team mates out of nowhere like in the first half when he was running backwards, half swivelled and whipped out to the right wing. Anyone else would have punted it back to the keeper. I really enjoy watching him. Hope he moves to Barca or Madrid so he's on every week.

Why do we bother? Hope Richards gets in ahead of Neville from now on, like a breath of fresh air. Crouch needs to bulk himself up as he hopes rather than believes he'll win the ball in the air. All his flicks and tricks piss me off too, just fucking get it down and play it, takes an age to get it under. Dyer looked lively, made some excellent runs. Ferdinand was like a rock, deserved MOTM. Villa is a class act aswell, a cut above atm

id rather have dyer as part of a forward line than lennon! All said and done, Lennon is more effective than Dyer, even though he does have poor parts he needs to improve. Not sure about that, would like to see Lennons goal and assist stats compared to Dyer this season even though Dyer has probably played far less games. Dyer has scored quite a few this season. Has Lennon even scored? Regardless a few goals can't disguise the fact Lennon is more of a potent threat than Dyer. Dyer's link up is better, but he can't skin a man for pace like Lennon even though his is fast. Lennon will stay on the wing the whole game and give us a constant outlet, whereas Dyer will drop further looking for it. If we're playing 3 up front I'd prefer someone who'd stay on the wing and commit defenders than another Rooney-type.

We were lucky against Spurs and Villa. Then not so lucky against Fulham. Thats the kind of run i fear Roeder is mainly going to be capable of taking us on. Yeah we were lucky against those teams, but when you've had the bad luck we've had this year with injuries and what not, we deserve a bit of luck now and then. Not disagreeing with that, what I feel it does is cover up the inadequacies of both our squad and our current manager and give false hope - christ, some people still think we can get a top 6 spot! Give me a break! With the league in it's current state, I wouldn't rule it out. I wuldn't rule anything out. If we carry on this win one, lose one campaign we'll get nowhere near 6th. I'd be happy with top 10 this season.

That front 3 won't work. I'd prefer Crouchy for Rooney then Rooney for Dyer. That's if I gave a shit.

On the world stage I don't think Ronaldo will ever get the recognition as say Rooney or Ronaldinho, they do spectacular things like shots from distance etc. Ronaldo will constantly skin his full back and can gain a huge amount of territory with his running. I can't explain what I mean really, but I I think I know where tmonkey's coming from.
