I disagree, I think even Gerrard would struggle playing for Charlton at the minute. Completely shit club, hate them, glad they're going down. There are better right backs but I think he's twice what Carr is and will ever be. When the team has no confidence, you switch off and I'm prepared to say that that game was a one off for Young. Playing in a team with a bit of confidence I think he'd excel.

I think Charlton may be willing to cut their losses with Luke Young in January. Decent player, young, good engine, English and quick. Worth a bid of 4 million if Upson is.

You can get Woodgate for that price, a real CB with real quality. having said that £1 million per game plus 60K a week is a little expensive for him. You've got a point, the only way I'd want Woody is for him to play the rest of the season without any sort of injury.

I remember being excited when Coco had a trial here and was expected to sign, but for some reason didn't in the end. Bad move imo, an Italian international at the time and would have improved our back four and squad without doubt. I'm fitter than Coco! Well, we signed Bernard so why not Coco? I wouldn't mind Moritz Volz. Is he still at Fulham? If he is I think could be worth signing, young, will only get better and wouldn't cost a bomb.

I think the thing that gets people (me anyway) is the captaincy issue. He does basically fuck all, does fuck all talking/encouragement, spends a good 50% of the game on his arse and/or ball-watching, does naive shit things that aren't needed, like chasing a COMPLETE lost cause and leaving the centre of the park open, has some fixation with doing the Cruyff turn about 5 times if a player comes to jockey him and seems to play the wrong option EVERY time. All of which I would perhaps expect from a Huntington or Carroll, but not the player who is supposed to be leading by example FFS. The fact that he has scored a few goals this season tends to blind some people about the clear flaws in his game, and are probably the people who scream and clap like tarded seals whenever one of his uneeded slide tackles come off. 2 Million and Parker to City for Barton would do nicely.

tbh,i would give it to butt,he seems experinced enough to know what to do,but he hasn't been in our club for long,so just given,and if he gets injured i will give it to harper,and if he gets injured i will give it to luque so he can play with it on the bench,give him a bit of distraction so he dosn't complain about not getting games..
