I haven't seen any of the action today, but does anyone think that that formation might be good to play for a few consecutive games? Was there anything noticably better about the teams performance, shape etc. in comparison to when we used the 4-4-2? That would be even better if Duff hits form.

Watford are almost certain to go down without King so he would be looking to leave. A club like us would perfect for him. Yeah in the summer as forgot he's crocked now. Id honestly prefer Mcbride to Viduka, he would cost less, gets injured less, puts a hell of a lot more effort in from what I've seen. Only drawback is he's getting on a bit I suppose. I'll be very interested to see who Roeder goes for.

For 4 million? McBride, Doyle, King, Nugent, Viduka, Beattie and Carlton Cole could all get 10 goals per season and would all be decent additions providing they stay injury free for that price.

The thing that gets me about the Chopra thing is at the time of selling him, I was all for it and all for a new and in theory better striker to be signed as a replacement. Which of course we didn't and are now being quoted/rumoured to be after players of the same calibre of Chopra, so it seems as instead of regressing by not signing a decent replacement we might as well have kept Chopra. Another fuck up by Newcastle United.

I disagree about Henry, he never seems to do well against us, which as all basically down to Shay. Of the games I have actually been too, I'd say Keane and Scholes in the middle of the park in the 6-2, complimented eachother so well.

I agree with that about Nugent, playing for the under 21's they seem to use him as the carthorse player, where they have him knock it down for Milner, Bent, Routledge etc. If he was bought to do a similar job to that I be pleased, but i'm sure he'd be bought as a goalscorer and tbh his record isn't great. I'd rather go for Marlon King at Watford.

Was a fan for going for Young, but did you see the Liverpool game? Fuking hell, no thanks. It was simply the worst performance i've seen this season by any player, including Carr. If we wanted, i reckon Charlton would do a straight swap with our dwarf after that. One game though, we have all seen good players have complete shockers! True, but it was that bad, i didn't think he had it in him tbh. I cant champion him anymore after that, i cant say i want him at the club. Fair enough bluebiggrin.gif Apparently a couple of decent right backs down the leagues. What happened to that fella that went to West Ham? Played about 4 games got good match ratings but thats it! Injured? Pantsils or summat? Yeah he seemed a decent player when I went to see West Ham - Watford earlier in the season.

I disagree, I think even Gerrard would struggle playing for Charlton at the minute. Completely shit club, hate them, glad they're going down. There are better right backs but I think he's twice what Carr is and will ever be. When the team has no confidence, you switch off and I'm prepared to say that that game was a one off for Young. Playing in a team with a bit of confidence I think he'd excel.
