If this carries on, staying up will become a major acheivement, regardless of how we are playing with whoever gets drafted in. The thing fucks me off is if Fergie or Wenger had this amount of injuries, we'd have an endless onslaught on how hard done by they are. Whereas all our situation gets is 'Injury hit Newcastle travel to the Bridge today...' as if it was some regular thing teams go through! I don't think Roeder is the right man for the job, but my respect has gone up for him over the last few weeks by just getting stuck in and getting on with it. Although sometimes he does remind me of Nana off the Royal family "We've got a whole host of injuries to several key members of the squad, this is bound to be reflected in today's performance. But I don't say anything". .
  2. Although that defence does look God awful, it may benefit the players drafted in and the team in the future. Personally, I think Huntingdon will be up there fighting for a place in the first team before the season's out. Even when the injuries clear up.
  3. Him. Can play anywhere across the back, aswell as central midfield.
  4. Dunno. Strange though. I do hope we've invested properly in the best fitness & medical staff though, because to do otherwise would be bonkers I think the standard of the fitness coaches depends on the standard of the manager, if I'm right in thinking most managers take their coaching staff with them wherever they go (the majority of the time). Therefore they wouldn't necasserily know any better, as they have never seen/worked with any other team. I just think it's strange we didn't have that many injuries under Bobby compared to when Souness came with his backroom team, where we had catalougues, like we have now. Take Martin O'Neill for example, if they had the amount of injuries we had atm, they would be down to their youth team. But they aren't, and I just think until we get a good manager who will bring a decent team along with him, we'll continue to have a lot of injury problems.
  5. I'd say it was a combination of luck and warm up/cool down bit.

    Random Roeder poll

I'll never not be behind a manager of Newcastle United, the question is do I want him to be replaced as soon as possible for the good of the club and fans? Which is the case with Roeder, I'm willing to see out the rest of the season with him in charge, but then I'll want him gone. blink.gif
  8. NE5 and HTL will be going through their stretching exercises and warming up their cocks. Soccer Master is about to become Ass Master bluebiggrin.gif mackems.gif
  9. Yes, I felt physically sick for about a week after that game, so God knows how it affected the players. We've never been the same after that.
  10. The only pundits on television that aren't fuckwits of the highest order are Gavin Peacock, Alan Shearer, Leonardo (who is rarely on) and Alan Hansen (who runs it close).
  11. Good for N'zo tbh. He would have only done it in retaliation to something Neill had done to him. I like Neill as a player, but he is a C**t. Basically the type of player who you hate, but then you would love if he moved to your team. And i hope he does.
  12. The injury situation means we have to field youngsters basically. The difference between Arsenal and Chelsea is the latter know how to put the ball in the net. And there's no way we can get that lucky twice.
  13. Yeah, probs about right assuming Sibs and Emre will not be fit.

    Parker

One game. Just look at stat table above. Tells it's own story. Vastly over-rated player.

    why?

A goal was scored in the Pompey game, and we went on to win. Confidence grew and now we are playing SLIGHTLY better. A win was all that was needed.
  16. Rob Lee? Can't say I actually remember that much of him but...
  17. If Parker's in there so must Butt be. blink.gif
  18. Was thinking him but I reckon he is probably quite hard, got a square-ish face and that I was basing it on the 'who you think would get beaten up by a girl' bit He looks about 15 aswell.
  19. Sneaky feeling that Man U could win it and the prem. Really rate their chances this season. Can see a Chelsea/Man U meeting in the Champions league at some stage too.
  20. Not at all stupid. He doesnt deliver consistently but there are flashes where he shows skill and vision beyond anyone else in the squad. That bit you said in bold reminds me of the same words were said about Robert...On his day he could be the difference between winning and loosing the game... To be fair, I think Robert was slightly better and always more of a threat where winning the game in a split second comes in. Then again Emre's all round play is better than Robert's, so it evens it's self out. I still think after the defence and attack has been sorted we should look at a game changing player, someone who can ping it on a 50 pence piece from 50 yards. Like Pedersen at Blackburn who is gettable seeing is he isn't doing quite as well as he did last year.
