Not long ago we were the 'comeback kings'. 3 games stick in my mind: 2-0 to 3-2 at Fulham - Robert and Shearer (2) 2-0 to 3-2 at Derby - Robert, Dyer and Lua Lua 1-0 to 3-1 at Arsenal - O'Brien, Shearer pen, Robert Pattern emerging with Robert? My point is we no longer have a player who can change a game like that *clicks fingers*. Robert used to have his critics but I thought he was a great player more often than not. Hopefully Dyer may be the answer but i'm not sure. I think the team also misses a Robert type player, to add to the whole new defence and strikeforce. And should be addressed in the summer after we have strengthened the defence. Someone like Morten Gamst Pedersen perhaps? :winking:

What? Milner was awful again imo. He's not quick enough, his crossing is erratic and spends most of the time facing our goal, even when we are attacking. He rarely makes a penetrating run (this is in most games) and stands off opponents. His all-round play gives off a thick-school-boy-but-with-plenty-of-potential vibe. STILL. :roll: The 8 is given to Solano, not Milner. Milner helped Solano a lot in defending. And he always made himself available to Solano and the latter is trying to find someone to pass the ball to. That, for me, is good understanding between the pair. Yeah the bit i was referring to was the understanding bit. Even if he tracked back he is still is ineffectual there and doesn't stop anything the other team create. I honestly can only only think of one pass where Solano put Milner running down the line and into a dangerous position, and vice versa. Which is down to Milner, not Nobby, who had another very good game. It's like having a new signing in there, he is doing a fantastic job. Long may it continue. Shame his playmaking skills are wasted by the man in front of him imo.

Spot on! Yep. Apart from there was no way Taylor put in a 8/10 performance if Bramble only recieved 6/10. The rest however, IS spot on!

I'm intrigued to know how you worked that one out. Emre had a good game, as did Butt. Nothing suggested to me that we missed Parker. Also, although he only did it twice I was starting to get annoyed with Martins for straying offside. He soo quick, why does he need to be on the line all the time? I felt really sorry for Sibi tonight. Constant shit service to him apart from Martins cross where he was really unlucky made it look like he had a poor game, whereas in reality I thought he battled really well up there on his own for the most part. Bramble nearly had a good game tonight, but spoiled it with one poor pass and one poor 'clean the man and ball' tackle on the edge of the box where he was extremely lucky to get away without a booking. Lot of decent performers tonight and a good result to go with it.

Same for Charlton. Nearly went for Watford, Hoofroyd is far too arrogant for my liking.

It's usually quite tough to get tickets even after they have gone on general sale. Keep checking nufc.co.uk nearer the time for info and might be worth starting/asking in a thread on here in the ticket exchange bit. Usually something will come up. ( nearer the time)

I'd take him (Diarra), I think we could do with a bit more athletisism in the middle, Butt is decent but is a tad immobile due to his years, Parker spends a good percentage on his arse or out of position and Emre simply isn't that sort of player. As long as he doesn't cost too much mind.
