Parker is sooo over-rated by certain people its laughable the lengths they go to to try to prove his case, much like the current situation with Luque. The only difference is that arguably Luque is where he should be, not playing. While, let alone is Parker playing every game, he's the bloody captain FFS. All you have to do is look at the performances of the players after he went off, a major upturn. And yes, i am taking into account that Pompey were attacking more and leaving more gaps. However, no longer was there a GAPING gap between the three areas of the field when Butt came on, no longer did the Pompey midfielders have virtually all the time they needed to pick out a pass and no longer did our centre midfield pairing look as if this was the first time they were playing together. Which seems to be the case in every game imo. I don't wish injury on any of our players, but this could be a blessing in disguise as far as now Roeder will be forced to see what we look like without Capn Fantastic pissing about in every position apart from the one were he would be most effective and is supposed to be playing. Talk about blind voting, we have seen Luque about twice there and Duff about 10 times who is still settling!!

Yeah we haven't seen enough of the REAL him this season, due to bad man management more than anything else though. And trying to over-impress too, where instead of playing his natural game he feels he needs to do something pure quality everytime he gets the ball in order to get back in the team. I can't wait to see him when the team has a bit of confidence and/or a new manager.

Actually wouldn't mind seeing Parker in a position where he couldn't bugger attacks up for us, yet still use his defensive capabilities. i.e Right back. The other suggestions are an absoloute joke.

I think it would be more use to swap Emre and Parker there with that formation, i can't see Emre making late runs into the box much as he likes to get involved in the build up. Whereas Parker (who im not a great fan of atm) does at least gets his arse up there the odd time running into the box and maybe getting on the end of things. imo anyhow. That sort of system needs much better fullbacks than the ones we have, unfortunately. You could say that about any system tbf.
