...are just six of the big name loan signings currently being pursued by Llambias and Hughton over the weekend? -

Ah well, at least we've got adequate replacements in our more than amply sized squad. -
Excuse the Guardian-reading, sandal-wearing, pipe-smoking theory here but I can't help thinking it's more than just a passing coincidence that football hooliganism rears its ugly head just at the same time as the economy hits the buffers, unemployment shoots up, poverty increases and society is generally more than just a bit fucked up and people are fucked off. Not making excuses for the thugs invading the pitch last night. Just pointing out that it's something that happens when recession hits.

Now that looks familiar. It's almost like someone else posted that article in this very same thread a few hours ago. #14562: http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,62360.msg1953662.html#msg1953662

Only about a thousand times, yeah.

James Cameron is good at disaster movies. This is more a farce than a disaster movie.

Classy. Deft. Subtle. Too subtle for many on here though. (Bunch of fucking spackers, you see...)

It is as equally impeccable as yours. You are clutching at straws, I'm clutching at straws. as far as I can see, people are jumping on this 'we are not being sold' bandwagon for no apparent reason, so I'm just trying to offer a different perspective. It is like the administration on Friday story from a few weeks ago, although more people seem to have got into this one. Mine? What my previous comment that Ashley may wait until playing Palace away for our 4th game of the season to judge how things may pan out on the pitch Vs. your, he only makes announcements at weekends? Shut up man. Where did I say he only makes announcements at weekends? The point was that he is an impulsive guy, I can't see him going around telling club sources that there will be an announcement on Monday that he is staying. He will just come out and say what he wants to say when he makes his mind up, be it Saturday, Sunday or Monday. "Look, the two major announcements during the season by Mike Ashley have both been made at the weekend. If Ashley wants to take the club off the market, he will have already done so." Impeccable. You clearly have problems reading beyond the first question mark. I'll put the important bit in bold for your convenience. At no point have I said that he only does weekends. What I have said is that he makes his mind up and does things, and he doesn't fanny around waiting for a certain day to make a decision. ...in your opinion. None of the above is fact.

Nobody has a fucking clue about anything. Jesus. Christ. Almighty.

What part of your vacuuous empty cranium makes you think you know anything about him at all, let alone enough to be able to advise us authoritatively that he'll be thinking such and such or doing this or that whenever? Put a cork in it, son.

Quit your jibber jabber, fool.

Imagine what Chris Hughton thinks when he tries to give a team talk to that face. Something along the lines of "I may as well be talking to a cabbage / Kezman? "

No shit, Sherlock.

But of course. Thankfully, the lad's managed to get some favourable press to make it look like he's going against his will, which will make it all the easier to see him sign for the Scouse mackems.
-
I've told people already what the press conference is about...Nicky Butt is being made player-manager. I really don't know why people are failing to grasp this news.

Very insightful of you. How long have you thought this might be the case? About two days, perhaps?

There is no way that a club that are just about getting 20,000 odd for their early games in their first Premiership season for a couple of years is a more attractive proposition than NUFC - a club that are getting 44,000, in spite of everything that has gone on - just be cause of 1 protest. Sorry, I forgot the disclaimer again, didn't I. If I'd been intending to say that our lack of attractiveness was "just because of 1 protest", I'd have used the phrase "Our lack of attractiveness is just because of 1 protest." If you look at my post you will see that I did not say "Our lack of attractiveness is just because of 1 protest" and from that you can hopefully deduce that it was not my intention to say "Our lack of attractiveness is just because of 1 protest." So hopefully that clears up the issue of whether or not I was saying "Our lack of attractiveness is just because of 1 protest." As for what I was actually trying to say, well given the amount of time it has taken to explain what I'm not saying (which was "Our lack of attractiveness is just because of 1 protest." in case you've forgotten) I've decided that it's not worth the effort. I'm happy to have simply cleared up the issue of what I wasn't saying (ie "Our lack of attractiveness is just because of 1 protest.") and so I'm going to quit whilst I'm ahead. People can make up their own mind about it. Just so long as they're aware of what I wasn't saying ("Our lack of attractiveness is just because of 1 protest.") that's fine. Touchy.

What's the normal penalty for attempted murder? same as for substantive offence = life, though no one ever serves life, look at that lockerbie bomber bloke, he served 2 weeks for every murder he comitted! a disgrace. Always thought that life sentence didn't mean you serve the entirety of the rest of your life behind bars, but that it means the sentence stays with you for the rest of your life, or until you are pardoned. So if you are released on parole and commit another offence, you go back in clink for that old offence again, as well as serving time for the further offence. I may be wrong on this.

With posts like that you make Newcastle United sound like the perfect club for emos, sadsacks and nutcases.
-
And just think of all the money you're saving too!

Yeah, I guess I could have put it like that and saved myself some typing. Well unless you think the Chuck Norris stuff for Shola and the Nile Ranger ridiculousness is sincere I can't remember anyone on this forum seriously claiming any of our players are 'class footballing geniuses' for, well, years. They've got a lot of 'they're fucking shite', but that tends to happen when you get relegated. Sorry, I didn't think it necessary to add a disclaimer that I was exaggerating for comic-effect and that the words I'd enclosed in quotation-marks weren't necessarily actual direct-quotes. I was obviously wrong, I'll remember for the next time. You would've thought David would be able to interpret text-based communication by now, given that it literally consumes 85% of his life. About 2% more than in your life.
