  1. Am I right in thinking tickets could be in more than one wallet last season and it was just a case of whoever gets there/uses it first?

    St James' Park

Does anyone think that's been leaked to gauge reactions? I wonder if it's been leaked to generate support for a new stadium as fans are already having the argument about '£xxxm Vs £xbn - let's just do it once and do it properly' sort of thing.

It’s why i think they’ll go for a full new build. Huge revenues that they are currently missing out on.

I can’t say with 100% certainty now, mainly because my memory is shite, but I’m sure we were told over 300 companies on the list when we did a tour of the stadium last summer but this guy, on the list, last week said over 100. I do know for sure that they have said to people on the list that they will prioritise those who spend the most with them, in corporate hospitality, whilst they’re waiting.

Aye - that sounds exactly what he was describing.

Talking of waiting lists.......I was told last week that to get on the waiting list for a box (more than a hundred companies already on there....) you had to pay a £5 or 6k fee (I can't remember exactly which one he said) which would get you a place on the waiting list and also priority access to corporate tickets etc etc. Nice work if you can get it...

Shame the pair of pricks never felt the need to criticise their mate Steve Bruce whilst he was in the dugout.

Under 18’s 3-0 down to Man U at HT. Kai Rooney playing for their under 16’s against ours today too. Dummett wandering around in NUFC training gear. Be surprised if he doesn’t end up on the coaching staff at some point soon.
  10. FWIW, I was in Brighton away last year and there was tonnes of empty seats. I did a few others and I'd say, whilst not as obvious as Brighton, there were more empty seats than you might expect...
  11. Or buyers get the dreaded 'red light' and walk away as agreed with the seller...
  12. Feels like a lot of the positivity and momentum left us when AS/MG went imho. This is a pivotal year and it feels like we've got the hired help to deliver it. Corporate suits and salary men in both Eales and Mitchell. Both of whom would jump ship tomorrow if a better offer came along. I don't get the feeling like they've got that attachment that PCP had. Maybe it was all a front, maybe they just wanted their investment returned but at least it felt genuine at the time. There was something a little Keegan-esque about Staveley in her enthusiasm. You aren't replacing that with these two. If this is growing up, post takeover, I don't like it

I don't see much upside for Howe in this situation. His supportive managers/owners have been shunted out, he had no idea Mitchell was pitching up, he's not gotten who he wanted in during the summer (when, in all reality, he would have if AS/MG were still around) and he's got this bloke chirping away about being 'good on the grass' or whatever he said. The inference being 'Eddie is a coach first and foremost' when it's clear he's always wanted an influence beyond that. I don't really get the clamour from the media to get a talking head, a glorified middle manager, sent out from the club to justify a poor window. I'd far rather Mitchell concentrated on improving our ability to achieve a better window next time around with the aim of engaging Howe in the process rather than spout off in the media like he runs the fucking show. Howe has done a frankly marvellous job - if Mitchell can just shut his gob and achieve the same levels in his role, as Howe has done with the squad he's had at his disposal then crack on. If not, fuck off and let someone else do it.

Let’s see how their relationship ends… If there wasn’t a problem, he wouldn’t be getting wheeled out in front of the media.

Totally agree - I don’t like the quotes at all…
  16. Rarely on the forum these days so, apologies if this is discussed elsewhere, but has anybody else heard talk of a press embargo in place ahead of news coming out over the next week or so? Presumably stadium related?
  17. Great job yesterday again by these guys. What was the idea of the Staveley/MG flag being rolled out again? No complaints btw, just wondered?
  18. Aye - that's when I clocked it.
  19. When did Moreno from Villa join Forest? Totally passed me by that one...
  20. Wonder how much that Semenyo would cost us? He looked like a good solution to our right sided issues...
  21. £15m . Must be £45m in add ons....
  22. Be surprised if Villa go anywhere near his wages so, if that move is to happen, Chelsea will be paying him for the next however many years. Shrewd Todd...
  23. Howe always strikes me as being a genuinely reasonable and pragmatic fella. Sure he'd have liked a few more faces in the building but I don't think it's a stretch to think he'll not wanna hamstring us for future windows by overpaying for players now. I'd also imagine Mitchell is probably desperate for a couple of buys to solidify their relationship and assure Howe he's on the same page. I'm relaxed that there is enough sensible people in the building that all will be fine even if we need to kick the can down the road to January or next summer. In terms of the wider strategy, I do wonder whether we'd maybe be better having a mega spend on youth one of these windows whereby we drop circa £30m on players with potential rather than the finished article to enable us to fast track some of the PSR stuff. I know we're adding youth as we go but it would be nice to see an all out attack on the best players across South America for example.
