Your 'saving the panic' comment is pretty naive if you can't see what's right in front of your eyes. Did you learn nothing from the relegation campaign? At what point would you panic Ian? When we've taken 3 points from the next 9 available? Or in injury time of the last game of the season when we're staring down the barrel of a gun? I don't really know what time I would panic, certainly not on January the 9th. Obviously I would absolutely love Remy to play in the next 3 games, and a new CB as well, but I just think it's not realistic. I'm not making a general point about our league status or danger of relegation, I'm talking about the belief that Remy should be signed and sealed by now. We'll have to beg to differ on that then because I do think it is reasonable to have the deal done by now. I don't really know why we weren't finalising terms in December to announce on Jan 1st tbqh. It's not like he's been getting a start every week and his status in the squad is untouchable. If they're prepared to listen to offers now then they would have been in December. Obviously, we've been waiting for the Ba deal to go through, but I believe we've needed a quality option up front in addition to Ba & Cisse for a long while and don't agree with the approach the Owner has taken as it puts us at risk over the next few games. If we win them then he'll be proven correct. If we lose them then he should have invested earlier frankly. I know which I would be doing given the form, injury situation and lack of momentum in the squad at the moment. Oh, and the fact, we've just lost our top scorer. Fair points, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

  3. Why wouldn't CL Teams look at him though? If he's as good as his reputation indicates? Don't get me wrong, I'm over the moon that we've got him, I'd have just thought that there may have been more competition.

  5. I do wonder why there wasn't huge competition for the guy given his relatively low fee and apparent status as Frances premier right back.

I think you are underestimating the danger we are in and, after the shite start to the season we've had, it's hardly unreasonable to have expected the club to have had deals completed very early on. If that costs us a small premium then that's the price you pay for having under invested in the summer. The next 9 points are asbolutely critical and I can't believe you're content to enter these games with Shola as our only reserve fwd.
  7. Very interesting indeed. I'd hope that with the addition of Debuchy the chances would be reduced across the board due to better distribution and the centre halves having a competent option for the outball.

It's been pretty clear Ba was off for a while, we needed another option up front anyway and have done for ages and we've got three winnable games coming. Meh, what's the rush?

Nor was Debuchy and then 5 days later he'd arrived here. Smoke and mirrors.
  10. You know that c*** in your workplace, that f***ing bad smell that can't be shifted, the pension hanger who's been with the company for 20+years that is so comfortable he produces f*** all save for turning up and sweating over his keyboard and scoffing his packed lunch? That's the real world equivalent of Kieron Dyer. Shouldn't have been paid for the last 5 years. Robbed his employers blind. I'm just pleased it wasn't us. No we had Owen Another robbing cunt. Surprised anybody is daft enough to give them anything other than payp deals.
  11. You know that cunt in your workplace, that fucking bad smell that can't be shifted, the pension hanger who's been with the company for 20+years that is so comfortable he produces fuck all save for turning up and sweating over his keyboard and scoffing his packed lunch? That's the real world equivalent of Kieron Dyer. Shouldn't have been paid for the last 5 years. Robbed his employers blind. I'm just pleased it wasn't us.
  12. It's the obvious counter, but Southampton (a) in the cup for me. He and Martins also had a canny little spell under Roeder. Aye i thought he had nothing left to offer at the time and had a great spell behind Martins before we sold him. Minhosa its basically talking bullocks I'm not having that! The lad should be starting the England Paralympic Team, he's been injured that much. For all the crying about how he wouldn't choose to be injured, I'd swap places with him. He's been a lucky boy to have earned such money when he's produced the sum total of jack for years. At least we got a small return from him. WHU/QPR got absolutely sod all.
  13. He had a great game then and also Leeds 3-4 where him and Solano had an unplayable second half. Southampton away in the FA Cup springs to mind where he played the no. 10 role also. I can't count many more though.
  14. I genuinely can't think of more than 10/15 stand out games for us. Whilst he obviously wouldn't have chosen to miss so many matches, he's probably earned in excess of £15m and given barely anything back to the game. I can't think of anyone who's done that on the same scale.
  15. Was he injured deliberately? What benefit has he brought to any club in his whole career, other than Ipswich? Ten/Fifteen good games for us? The rest of his career has been a total waste. Whether it's deliberate or not, he's been paid for the last 5 years for absolutely nothing. For keeping fit basically. If that's not robbing a living I don't know what is.
  16. That fucker has robbed a living off the game.
  17. More like the new Dani Minogue, sat next to his fucking Mrs on the X-Factor.
  18. Are Villa good value tomorrow night at 8/11 (Away to Bradford)?

Don't understand why he wouldn't include Barton as part of any deal. Pretty clear he wants to stay with OM and I can't imagine many at QPR want him back. The Remy deal would seem an ideal opportunity to put that issue to bed whilst improving survival chances.

    Alan Pardew

My view would be that his position would be untenable if that were to be the case.
  21. Quite correct and we're not the only fuckers with injuries. The root cause of this problem is having a tiny squad, not a few people injured. If you replace a quality purple with a diarrhea brown then things are gonna be shit. Go figure.
  22. That will be down to the manner of our defeat. And, the majority of our squad today was youngsters, quite a few of them have been deemed not good enough for us by people on here, Brighton are doing well in the Championship, play youngsters who play at League 1 or Championship level against a decent Championship team and there is going to be problems. This result and performance today has no reflection on our first team and it's ability, the same as it didn't last year when they beat us when we had more first team members playing in that one. It wasn't that far off a first team tbh. Elliot, Perch (arguably), Tavernier, Bigi, Abeid, Anita (arguably), Obertan (arguably). I know what the team was, thanks. The fact that you're including a player we paid £7m for from Ajax, the only player we thought we needed to improve the squad, rather derails your point. Anita is the only player who started today that would make our first choice starting eleven if all our first choice players were fit, which they should be by the end of the month. We might well be in the bottom three by then but will have the quality to get out of trouble.... subject to any AP induced disasters. Santon?
  23. And therein lies the problem - we have not beaten a team we weren't expected to beat in fucking eons. The Mackems turned over Citeh, QPR beat Chelsea and the others all do the same and we just don't even look like it. Unless this changes and we find some belief from somewhere, we are seriously doomed.
  24. Pissed off with those useless cunts at Craven Cottage. Had Millwall/Chelsea/Luton/Fulham. Thanks fucktards.
