Just reading through the latest rumours, looks likely there will be at least £200 million more spent before the deadline. Must be close to a billion spent now.
-
One of the most bizarre transfers of the window.
-
I still expect him to go, however if he has to stay I have faith that Rafa will make him knuckle down and he can be a major player for us, at least till January. If we do sell him, I would expect us to have a replacement already in mind.
-
Yeah, however even without the tackle, he has done nothing of note for a couple of years now.
-
Noticed that Adomah isn't even on the bench for Boro, linked with us and Villa yesterday. We've also been made favourites to sign Callum McManaman.
-
They've signed 11 new players (we've signed 10 - it'll be 11 when Lazaar is confirmed today), so that's not strictly true. They started in a weaker position, have made weaker signings and are continuing to sign players for positions that they don't need to. They'll struggle to make the playoffs, said it all along. At worst, they could end up at the wrong end of the table. Weaker signings -Elphick, Chester, McCormack, Jedinak, would all get in our team. They have had to build a new spine for their team, and we're on a downward spiral from last year. They certainly have enough quality to be right up challenging, wether or not they do is dependant on Di Matteo.
-
I think they will be fine, they've made more changes than we have, and started in a weaker position.
-
Agreed, Everton fans don't rate him at all.
-
Most mentioned around £3 million yesterday.
-
Much rather we went for Burke. Either would be brilliant, although Burke is being linked with Man Utd and Bayern this morning.
-
The journalist who wrote this was spot on with the Yedlin deal before everyone else the other day.
-
Hardly a player you want another player to learn off tbh. Disagree with us having plenty of pace in attack as well, we have Gayle and that's it.
-
Missed the last half hour, how did Yedlin do?
-
?? pretty confident Rafa will be able to make him get his head down an d go about it professionally.
-
The latest reports from this afternoon, were that palace and Everton believe they can get a cut price deal right near the deadline.
-
Brilliant win, great performance. A bonus is that every player who needed a confidence boost e.g. Sels and Shelvey got one.
-
He has put Wickham left wing, and the palace fans are now booing Wickham.

Not sure I agree, we seemingly bid for Bas Dost and Haller, who would have been first choice, obviously Murphy won't be so not sure what the idea is. Would they have been first choice? Neither of them striker me as better players than Mitro or Gayle? Just with who we were singing them from and possible price tags. They were never coming here to sit on the bench.
-
Why do people automatically think he will be back up, our bids for Haller and Bas Dost show he wanted another first choice, no evidence to suggest Murphy won't be.
-
Can't believe people aren't allowed to criticise a proven poor player. Who says he will be third choice anyway, the rotation that Rafa favours suggests he will start a lot of games. Just because we are in the championship doesn't mean we need to accept low quality. How is he a proven poor player? We're in the Championship for a reason, he is a good player in the Championship (that league that we are in) some people need to wake up. He's had one good season, he has been poor everywhere else, he even managed to fail in the SPL. Do you think Jamie Vardy is a proven s**** player? Going by Murphy's record he's been absolutely fine for 3 seasons; if he's still hitting around 1 in 3 then he should be fine here unless we've inexplicably signed him to lead the line for the rest of the season. He progressively moved up leagues, Murphy has failed in all except for one season.
-
Fresh reports of Palace and Everton wanting him.

What the f*** is this? :lol The daft expectations of some people on here. Btw, what the f*** is this? https://mobile.twitter.com/nemtizz/status/769520085560156161 How is being disappointed with signing Murphy having daft expectations?

Because he has been rubbish throughout his career.
