  1. 9 men minimum behind the ball at all times, hope Garnacho & Rashford can nick a goal on the break. Master tactician ETH.
  2. A blind horse has a better overview.

    Dan Burn

Opponents will have to start following his offensive runs now that he's shown two games in a row that he can put in dangerous crosses. Previously nobody bothered covering him as none of our players would pass to him even when he got into good positions to cross anyway. Good game yesterday. Neto was hoisting the white flag up from Burns back pocket by halftime and called it quits.
  4. I know there were some on here, myself included, that wasn't overly keen on him at the time, but I do wonder what some of these people think about Gordon now
  5. Haven't really paid attention to Sheffield United at all, so decided to look him up. Came from second division club Lommel SK in the summer. Turns out Lommel was bought by City Group (their ninth club). Lommel initially paid €2.5m for Souza (which I imagine is a hell of a lot of money for a Belgian second division club) only to immediately loan him out for 3 consecutive seasons before selling him for €12,5m. A bit of a deflection from the topic of your post, but how the hell is this allowed? City Group seemingly pumping money into 8 other clubs besides Man City for these clubs to buy talent all around the world, in many cases loaning them out and making profits off them while retaining the possibility to buy the best of these talents like Savio for small fees in order to work around FFP. An owner group or affiliated group should not be allowed to have a stake in another football team anywhere in the world. Full stop. Fifa also needs to do more drastic changes world wide to how loans work.
  6. A full week for Isak, Willock, Anderson & Barnes to build their fitness further, a full week for Gordon and Bruno in particular to recover properly and a full week for Howe to prepare. We'll be able to field both a strong 11 and bench. Everything indicates we're in good shape to win. Please don't Newcastle this game Newcastle.

    Tino Livramento

It looked a bit scrappy when it happened live, and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that the defenders didn't even get a small a touch on the ball for the goal
  8. Dubravka: 7 Trippier: 6.5 Schär: 8.5 Botman: 7 Burn: 7 Longstaff: 6 Bruno: 8.5 Willock: 7.5 Murphy: 6 Isak: 7 Gordon: 7 Livramento: 8
  9. There was a right back not named Trippier who was motm last time we threw Man City out of a cup this season
  10. The physio was giving the bench the thumbs up after checking on him and it looked like he was going to try to walk it off. Ideally Howe would have just subbed him straight away as there was no reason to risk him, but glad Trippier made the sensible choice himself.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Neto seems like a mentally weak player too. Absolutely hated it out there today, and didn't get a sniff except the run he made at the very start of the game. Convenient injury for him. Think he'll magically start their next game.
  12. We're the team that has most clean sheets at home this season. We need to show we can also do it away now.
  13. That bit of skill before the pass was equally sexy. What a player.
  14. I get that we could use more pace in one of our CB's, but how the hell do we adequately replace his ability to start attacks and drive forward with the ball, while also being really solid defensively?
  15. That's simply not true. Don't think you'll find one person on here that in full honesty will say they think Howe is perfect.

    Joe Willock

Was really impressed with his long passes today. Can't remember seeing him spraying the ball around quite like that before.
  17. Fairly obvious to me too that there are forces behind the scenes that influences match officials to "protect the product", and that it's been going on for a long time. The drama series PL season 23 is all about Klopps farewell tour. Doesn't provide the story they want to tell if Liverpools title aspirations fizzles out by March.
  18. Literally anyone but Liverpool tbh
  19. Excellent game. Everyone did their job. Wolves clearly majorly hampered by missing over half of their goals this season but the way we played I think we would have won regardless.
  20. god damnit can't they just sub him off as a precaution instead of "testing" it until he has to come off
  21. 2 Wolves players thrown in the towel already, including wonderboy Neto. This will end 5-0.
  22. Great movement from Isak to receive the ball, and excellent ball from Schar to take out over half the Wolves team in one move ahead of our second goal. Something very arousing watching a winger whip a cross into the box that leads to a goal too.
