  1. Actually think Burn was the better player to take the shot in that situation. He had the momentum going forward and better opening for the shot.
  2. Miley has such a great vision and weight to his passes
  3. Must be some very niche metrics that led to Brentford buying Collins. What a shit defender.
  4. He could adapt of course (though no guarantee he would either), but I was talking about the player he is today.
  5. If he improves his ball control/technique so he can more consistently control the ball at high speed, and learns how to dribble past players in different ways than knocking the ball past them and beating them for pace, he will be one of the best players in the world. If he got an injury today that permanently took away some of his explosiveness and reduced his top speed I'm not sure if he would be good enough to play for any team in the PL. His pace, stamina, strength, work rate and off the ball movement/ability to work in our system is currently what makes him a great player for us.
  6. If you count Pedro then you might as well count Gordon, making it three for us too
  7. I hope it's not that bad like That's Jeff Hendrick levels of desperation.
  8. I'd reduce the age of players not needing to be registered to play to 19 or 20 too. And ban multi club ownership. And reduce the cost for tickets and subscriptions.
  9. And only if they get him dirt cheap.
  10. Don't know how many times people have mentioned the fact no other clubs have three first team strikers especially with Howe preferring a settled team over rotation how could we possibly keep three strikers happy to stay here? Even Chris Wood was outta here at the first opportunity once both Isak and Wilson were fit, and we were more than happy to sell him.
  11. Quite different seeing if a player goes to a pub or club than what he is doing at home on his phone. Of course they do their due dilligance, but it is limited.
  12. To my knowledge he hasn't taken any credit for the successes.
  13. Giving you the benefit of doubt and say you are right in your assumption that many people outside of those directly involved knew about it - how should Nickson/Ashworth go about getting them to talk about it? Hire a private PI on our transfer targets?
  14. I'm still to see anyone come up with a good argument for how the fuck he (or anyone else for that matter) should have known.
  15. Was a no brainer to sign him permanently after the loan spell. Sad how things have played out with injuries.
  16. Model professional. We won't be able to buy 100 players in the summer so needed to extend with some of the ones whos contract expired this summer. Glad Emil is one of them.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

No way Toney comes here to be Isaks back-up.
  18. Pope definitely is a sweeper keeper, and really good at reading the game. Main problem is that once he's come out and averted a chance, you can't rely on retaining possession unless he catches the ball with his hands. Usually ends up with pressure on our goal being maintained. Obviously still better than Dubs who is very uncertain on when to come off his line and when not to which in itself has created some dangerous situations. Still, Dubs is one of the more competent reserve keepers in the league. I don't really see the point in stating the obvious that Pope is better. Dubs is still playing at a level where we don't really need to upgrade, which is what many on here were adamant we "needed" when Pope got injured.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

McTominay is the 2020's version of Kevin Nolan. Offers absolutely nothing unless he scores. Can see struggling premiership sides accommodate his faults for what he brings, but is he fuck someone you'd bring into a club trying to break into the top 4 Destination Moyes written all over him if he were to leave.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Liking our players is a luxury problem I hadn't really thought about during the takeover. I don't really want to get rid of anyone right now bar the senior players we have out on loan that still carry the Ashley stink on them. Understand we have to sell and replace to improve, and at some point probably have to be a bit cynical about it, but it's something gutting about breaking up what seems to be a fantastically tight knit group of not only players but friends that got us to 4th.
  21. Feels like this season has been ridiculous in terms of late winners to the team I want to drop points. Need to stop turning on matches when I see the team I want to win are in the lead.
  22. Wharton that Palace got from Blackburn in January looks like a decent prospect. Glad he's not playing against us in the cup.
  23. This final is a bit lower-mid table PL-esque.
  24. Meh. Was hoping for a draw, but if one team had to win, I'm glad it was Man Utd purely to increase our chances of overtaking them both.
