In my subjective opinion clear and obvious error for offsides should probably be if there's air between the attacker and defender. Like for the famous Isak vs Liverpool goal I don't understand how it is possible even with VAR technology to 100% determine, unless they're filming with with like a 1000fps camera, that the leather on the passers foot touches the ball before Isak is past the Liverpool defender.

LB first priority for me. Burn does Burn stuff well and even with a new LB he'll play a big part next season too, but we'd benefit so much by having someone with more pace and better ball control opposite side of Trippier to stretch teams more.

The ball hit Lindelofs hand while it was hugging his body, which isn't a pen, but then his hand bonked the ball into his own face ffs If he hadn't reacted/flinched when the ball hit his hand the first time it wouldn't have been a pen but how on earth you don't give a pen there is beyond me. Has there been any explanation? I wasn't paying attention but in the Norwegian studio I thought I heard they say the ref had blown the whistle to end the half just as it hit him...?

This is where I'm at too. I don't think it's madness to try it out, but today gave a good indication that it's probably not the best solution. If he is going to be put out wide, there's a better chance of success if he's coming on against tired legs. If he's starting, I hope it's as a striker going forward. Keep rotating him and Wilson keeping both fit and fresh.

I wouldn't have reacted if Lindelof hadn't moved his hand as it was into his body and he needs to have his arm/hand somewhere, but the fact that he reacts to it by hitting the ball into his own face ( ) it has to be a penalty, even if it's unintentional, surely?

Looked obvious to me that it hit his lower thigh/upper knee with the Arsenal defenders arm going behind his leg right before the ball hit him. Think you'd see more impact on the arm if the ball hits it. But I'm not VAR, so can't say I'm 100% sure.

Can't remember that a penalty has been awarded this season due to handball where there was no contact with hand or arm at all either.

On a positive note, no matter what, the team has never given up, and are still trying to get back in it 2 minutes into over time.

Tbf, had we gotten one goal out of all the big chances we've had this game, it would have been a completely different picture. Obvious room for improvement of course, but 3-3 would have been a better reflection of how the teams have played rather today rather than 0-2.

Not sure if I should feel insulted or honored by the way Arsenal are playing and fighting. Where was this team when they were dropping their arses the last three games against Man City, Southampton and West Ham? Game over it seems.

Jorginho dead again. Toughts and prayers.

Aimed at the ref

Agreed. Not because he's particularly poor imo, but we haven't had the players in the box so much to get on the end of his crosses. Getting Almiron on who can cut inside and be a danger may be more effective the way this game has gone.

Come oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon Arsenal will crumble like a shitty deck of cards if we equalise.
-
Arsenal have been really good at shutting down the space between our defense and midfield forcing us to HOOF more than usual unless we've managed to catch them on the break.
-
They are our enemies today, but glad to see Jorginho survived that assault with no permanent damage. xoxo

No. Correct decision. Just annoying that it takes 100 minutes to reach that conclusion when it was painfully obvious within the first slow motion replay.
-
Shouldn't be a penalty. ffs VAR just call it don't waste so much time.

One of these games, eh? Murphy hitting the post. Means Schar is due a head injury within the next 30 min and a solid 2-0 win.
-
Son and Salah in team of the season?
-
Don't know why I'm watching this. Painfully obvious it'll be an undeserved 0-1.

Agree it's annoying, but understandable to a degree that he backed him considering they played together at Palace from 87 - 91. Annoying in the same way Shearer was backing up Bruce until the last month/weeks of his stay here.
