Yeah Wolves had good connections to get main bulk of those players through Mendes, but it's not like he could have forced the players to go there if they didn't want to join.

Wolves got Ruben Neves, Jota, Boly, Saiss, Doherty and Cavaleiro while in the championship. There's definitely talent out there that would happily take one season in the championship to be part of this project if they fail to retain premier league status.

Any player spurs would be happy to sell or loan us at present time I'd be very worried about, considering how opposed they were/are to our takeover

CM is top priority for me as well. If we could get someone like Renato Sanches, Arthur, Boubacar Kamara or Ismaël Bennacer that alone would improve the whole team. Ideally we'd bring in two of them Second top priority is a left footed CB to suit how Howe likes to set up the defence, like Botman or Gvardiol.

I have no idea what to hope, expect or what the best approach would be for this match so this is just high level brain storming of what possibly could work to grind out a point. I'm thinking it's better to set up defensive with as much work rate, pace and energy as we have available to have a slim chance of nicking a goal on the counter while making life difficult for Liverpool. Was really struggling to decide on Almiron or Shelvey but feel like Almiron possibly is better equipped to deal with the pace of Liverpool and to double up with and support Lewis on the flank against TAA & Salah. He's also more of a threat on the counter. Willock has been dog shit under Howe but again, has more energy and pace to help Manquillo on the other flank against Robertson and Mane than any of the other options available. -------------------Dubravka------------------- ----------Schar---Lascelles---Fernandes------ Manquillo----------Hayden--------------Lewis -------------Willock-----Almiron-------------- ------------------Joelinton-------------------- -------------------Wilson---------------------- No matter what I hope as a minimum that yesterday was a wake up call for everybody and that we get a positive reaction from coaching team & players, despite fully expecting a loss.

Will come back to Chelsea next season, play a bit part role for 4-5 years and sold for £30-40m to a mid table PL club when they finally realize they won't be regular starters.

Petty lashing out in frustration. Serves him right that it immediately went back to hurt him.

The football haven't been good, but second half has been really entertaining. Two teams full of fight right now.
-
Yeah, guess it depends on how it's defined. In the Norwich example could it be either Shelvey winning the ball, or Fernandes pass to Willock that created the chance, while the ball into the box from Willock is the key pass...?
-
Everton turning it on.

Assuming it's ok to post this since it's from official Norwich account. Go to the chance starting at 02:14. Idk how those stats are generated so it may have a logical explenation to it but in my head at least it should as a minimum be ONE chance created. Not that it would make it any more impressive

That can't be true, can it? I have a vivid memory (granted, my memory can fail me) of him advancing down left hand side, dribbling off two players and putting in a cross against Norwich. I can't remember the outcome of that play, but would that not count if f.ex a Norwich player got to the ball first?

Hope Howe identifies and addresses the lack of team work/work ethic the coming week. Two stand out situations for me were Almiron battling for possession against 3 Leicester players around their own corner flag, and Lewis the same on opposite side at Leicesters other corner flag. It seemed like the team was simply assuming they would lose the ball immediately, and was just bracing themselves to defend rather that fighting for the ball in a dangerous area. It was similar type of ball watching as when ASM is in dribble mode and everyone remaining stationary instead of working for better positions to receive the ball or attacking open areas left behind when Leicester commits several players to stop ASM.

please no. We look much better with fullbacks/footballers at fullback. We need to see Hayden and Fernandes introduced to the starting 11 though.
-
Rafa took the job knowing this, and praised the owner for his ambition/vision & the quality of their squad when he first arrived. He shouldn't get any slack for this imo.
-
Wtf was Gray thinking there. Shocking.
-
I like VAR in theory, but when it isn't used for game changing situations like that then I fail to see the point.
-
Seems like it unfortunately. He saw how much better the defence looked with Fernandes against Norwich yet reverted to Lascelles at the first opportunity unlike with f.ex Ritchie whom has been rightly kept out of the side after introducing Lewis for the first time and starting Almiron in stead of Fraser the last two matches as well & playing Schar instead of Clark.

Imagine they got north of £60m for Alex bloody Iwobi and Joe sodding Willock
-
Fwiw I fully agree with everything you write here. Edit: with the caveat that I think it's very possible we can stay up if we manage to strengthen midfield and defence in January.
-
This is the main concern for me. Look at the difference it made for Leicester to have Tielemans back. Someone in this thread posted the central midfielders we had during the two seasons we were relegated and it really shows how incredibly important it is we get proven quality central midfielder(s) in January.
