The Rugby World Cup is one of my favourite sporting events, probably enjoy it more than the football one, mainly because I feel something for the England team and they at least have a chance of winning this cup. So seeing some games at SJP is great news, smart fixtures too, the Scots will fill the ground and Tonga versus the all backs will be one of the better group games I'm sure.

Yeah that looks just like how we've been defending of late, 4 men around one player.

Has he been able to show any example of this so called unrest ? Good luck covering Newcastle with zero access, he'll be out of a job as soon as the telegraph feel their PR stance is over.

I still believe this. All this public support is predictable, with 3 games to go everyone needs to be seen to be pulling in the same direction. Once the season's over let's see how willing they are to back Pardew. If we are going to do this the right way then he must be sacked the day after the last game of the season.

Maybe but how long is the dead man walking for ? If he's still pacing around come the start of next season, we may have missed out on the better managerial candidates to replace him.
  8. I have zero faith in the team, but Wigan have to win two games and I simply cannot see that happening (as well as us losing all three of ours, which is almost a certainty but that's irrelevant UNLESS they win two games) Not if Wigan win one and draw two, then we'll need points. Not massively out of the realms of possibility that they get a point at WBA, beat Swans at home and then just need a point at home to Villa. Even worse if Villa only need a point at that stage as well. Actually looking at Wigan's fixtures, I can see easily see them getting 7 or 9 points. Swansea at home is about as easy as it gets right now for any team, a team which has already had a fantastic season with absolutely nothing to play for. If Wigan have to beat Aston Villa on the last day of the season at home, recent history will show you that they will win those types of games. A point or even better at WBA this weekend is something they are more than capable of achieving on current form. Unfortunately I can see a situation where it all goes to the final game and Wigan beat Villa and we lose to Arsenal (which is practically a given) and that sends us down on goal difference.

Reading a few of Ryder's articles and interviews with Roeder, clear the message is to give Pardew the chance to put things right and that we need stability not a managerial merry go round. In Oliver's time, his relationship with the boardroom at SJP, I would put a lot of significance in this being the message the club wants to send down to us, not so sure nowadays that Ryder is as informed as Oliver clearly was. But if I were a betting man, I would be putting a sizeable chunk of change on Pardew still being in charge if we stay up, no matter how that is achieved.

Just read the Ronny Gill http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/steven-taylor-insists-newcastle-united-3316013 This comment from Ryder (I know he knows nowt but...) confirms what I thought that Pardew will still probably have the job when the dust settles on the season "United are set to stick with Alan Pardew and the hope is that once survival has been sealed, the Magpies can build again this summer. And there is also a belief that once stars like Moussa Sissoko, Yoan Gouffran, Mathieu Debuchy, Massadio Haidara and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa get a pre-season under their belt, a stronger United will emerge." I bet that's what Pardew has told the board, a latest in his line of excuses, "It's all because the January signings didn't get a full pre season". FFS.

Bollocks it's just an easy way to explain why a team full of internationals is playing like a pub team. The real reason is that we have a manager who has no tactical brain, no idea how to motivate, no clue how to pick a team and set it up and has a history of not being able to sustain success. He's simply not up to the job, that's all it is but stupid freaking jornos like to show they are smart by looking for a more complex issue.
  12. I would definitely love Jose, more chance of us winning the last 3 games than him arriving in place of Pardew of course. Clear from these comments that he's already tied things up with Chelsea for a return. Pardew to Real as his replacement

That assumes we can get at least 1 point from our remaining 3 fixtures....hmmmm
  14. Kind of a pointless story at this stage of the season when we don't know which division we'll be playing in and we are unsure if this retard will still be in charge, even if he is he's not the one buying the players.
  15. Jonas is exactly the type of player Pardew will want to play in a relegation battle. Like Owen, Duff and Viduka were last time we went down
  16. Where has this come from, leaked by the telegraph ?

Eases the healing process, if we expect the worse. Oh that and I'm fucking bored today.

Last time round, we were in a much worse financial state and got rid of Owen, Viduka (both contract end), Beye, Bassong, Martins and Duff. That's six first teamers. We are not going to let 13 or more go, from a stronger financial position especially when most of them are on long term deals.

We have a squad, that consists of what 11 full foreign internationals, plus the likes of Gouff, Marv and Anita, are they all going to go bar Jonas ? That's a lot of rebuilding work.
  21. afar

    Relegationometer

OK whatever you say. Of course there will be interest for two France internationals. It's not about that, it's about whether there would be interest in these two players at the price we would be willing to take.

    Relegationometer

OK whatever you say. So in your world you have us selling 13 players !!!! WTF, we would have no freaking squad left.

So you think he's been a success ? 8 Million quid remember for a player who doesn't seem to have a position. I didn't say he's been a success, but don't see how someone can fail without being given a proper chance. He's been used as cover, in and out of the team. He's been crap man. He's had enough games to prove himself. Pardew is obviously clueless but I don't think we can blame him for Anita clearly not being suited for this league.
