I would like to see us get a young kid in who can back up Enrique, worries me that we don't have a natural lb to replace him when he gets injured and he usually does.

He's such a crap player, outside of his long throw, he adds nothing, in fact that whole midfield is distinctly average.

Zero points from 3 games. They'll point to a tough start, but it's been no tougher than ours and we were bigger favourites to go down than them. I think you might be right though, they'll bash teams like West Ham, Wigna and Blackpool at home, and get the odd 1-0 away from home. I did read a stat though that was interesting, they had the least amount of shots on goal than any other prem club last year.

Chelsea v Stoke on here now. What is the feeling on Stoke's relegation credentials, do they have too much about them to go down ? Will they get the points theu need from the poorer teams that won't be able to cope with their style of play at home ?

If Villa beat Everton tomorrow, which I think is very possible, is MacDonald's hat back in the ring ? I still wouldn't be surprised if he's given the job at least till the end of the season. Oh and Ireland is a pile of crap, a prototypical one season wonder.

Sort of half watching the Blackpool Fulham game atm. Blackpool played really well, could be a tough place for teams to go to, like it was last season. I'm not convinced with Fulham though, they got a good result against Manure, but I've seen nothing from them this season that would suggest another top half finish.

Just watched the whole game, should have won it really, too many missed chances. Despite what was said during the game, thought the ref didn't favour Wolves. Thought he was bad thoughout but not helped by the players really. They did kick lumps out of us for sure. Thought Perch outside of the penalty that never was (which most certainly was), was pretty good. Thought Williamson didn't help him enough, and definately at fault for the goal, left Perch two on one. Williamson also had a weak header that resulted in a chance for Wolves. Nolan was poor, he got into good positions and laid on one great chance for Carroll, but too many weak finishes. Routledge was my man of the match, constant threat and decent crossing.

I'm certainly not going to hold a grudge, I tend to not dwell in the past in all aspects of my life. They've done well in the last 2 windows, their ham fisted attempt to lower expectations worked in a way, we were surprised and delighted with the players we brought in, no one expected the amount of money we have spent (which actually isn't very much) becuase of that statement.

Looks like Crouch is out, broken ribs or something, so it's looking likely even accounting for the madness that is Capello.

Think the point is that the other options for England are rubbish. Agree he's got work to do though, an England call-up at this stage might cause his head to expand too much. f*** England anyway, I want him playing for us and meaningless friendlies are just asking for trouble regarding injuries. I disagree I think we need him to be arrogant. And I thought these were qualifying games.

Bollocks to that, I'd rather he had the time off. In a sense I agree, but a call up will be a huge boost to his confidence and a non call could have him thinking "WTF do I have to do".

Spuds were awful today, Wigan defended well but really weren't asked many questions. But that's a huge turnaround for Wigan, I've nver seen a PL team defend as bad as Wigan did against Blackpool.
