  1. Would be a good move for both parties, if he wants to go to the World Cup, he's got to be playing, he'll get games with us no problem, under an excellent coach. We need his skill set desperately and could play in a number of roles for us.

3 top ten finishes dude, that's actually not bad, not to ever get over 50 points though in that spell is pretty pathetic.

Gianfranco Zola dude, scored some great goals for Chelsea, hell of a player, management track record that speaks for itself
  5. Because, as always, they know absolute f*** all. That's not a bad thing, if twitter is exploding they usually respond fast to say there is nothing in the rumours. If I'm taking over a club and I want to get the local press onside , I give them a heads up with a few "exclusive" lines in there, but to keep it under their hat until just before the official announcement is made. Oh fuck it, I said to myself I wouldn't get drawn into this false hope shit

It'll be a tough game, because we are bad at dictating games, just hope Rafa doesn't feel the need to go 442 with Gayle and Joselu for it, because it doesn't work at home at least.

If we do win two out of the next three, I would have no hesitation in moving to a 4 on the meter, it was always going to be a huge month for us, we've started it well need to keep going.
  8. I don't understand Matt, can you explain in Janet and John language for us thickos ? Are you saying that She has previous form doing this and this is a positive sign ? Edit Yorkie's Gif sums it up for me perfectly

We absolutely need that investment, without it we are in massive danger, it's stupid to gamble, but if we play like we have in the last two away games we will get enough points to stay up even with the squad the way it is. I still think it's difficult to pick the three that will drop but Swansea and WBA are looking increasingly likely to take up two of the three spots, both have already played their new manager bounce Jokers too, their investment in the Jan window will be a good sign as to how they rate their own chances.
  10. The important thing is for 2 clubs (preferably three) to start getting cut adrift, then we are only fighting to avoid the last spot . With the results of tonight we are 6 points clear of Brom and Swansea, that's a big gap. Stoke look dreadful right now, Watford and Southampton are in free fall. Huddersfield and Brighton are due a bad patch and Bournemouth have been unconvincing all season. Not too worried about Palace and West Ham winning, we are still ahead of both of them anyway.
  11. I'm as clueless as you, it's basically a business owning another business rather than an individual owning the business. Must be some tax or liability reason behind it.
  12. But do they give it to this manager? Big call. Would not surprise me at all to see Koeman return there, would be a great appointment for them, not sure if he burnt any bridges when he left though.
  13. That division looks a lot softer this year than last, the three relegated sides have been poor and that's probably a big reason behind it. Not taking anything away from Wolves though as they've ripped the league apart, Neves has been an excellent signing, wish we had been in for him. They'll compete next year in the PL for sure, since they seem to have some backing behind them.
  14. This is exactly it, you need to sell when a player still has value. If this was just a poor run of form he was in then you could say, just give him time, but it's been half a season over 20 games, he's been poor for the majority of them, he's for me clearly one of those players that is too good for the Champo but not quite good enough for the PL. We have too many of them unfortunately, Shelvey, Clark, Gayle etc., we need to cash in on them and bring in players that can play at this level.

Don't understand Coleman going there at all, he just needed to bide his time a little, he's not great but did enough with Wales to put him in the frame for one of the PL relegation fodder jobs rather than the champo relegation fodder he's settled for. Could have definitely seen him at Stoke, if they sack Hughes. He's basically destroying his rep going there, with no money to spend and big expectations (for the quality of the squad they have available).
  16. Wow just looked at the Champo table, saw that Derby are in 2nd place and Brum bottom, the idiot that sacked Rowett to be replaced by that football management genius Zola must love the table right now
  17. Not sure if Brom winning is a good or bad thing, keeps West Ham in trouble, but at the same time obviously helps Brom themselves. You look at their team though and it's got a severe lack of quality. Blah not really worth the anxiety thinking about what other results are.
  18. Kane on the bench tonight, ffs we need them to win.
  19. Is he any good ? Why are monaco happy to let him leave on loan ? TBH, I was hoping Huddersfield over stretched themselves in the summer and would "keep their powder dry" in this window. We need to be moving too.
  20. Hippo head obviously doesn't like the festive period, seems like Everton have had a pretty disappointing run of results this year.
  21. Thought Shelvey was actually really good, best game in a while for us,did the simple things well, which is something he hasn't been doing of late. Shaqiri is an odd little man, looked totally disinterested yesterday, just before he got take off he irked the crowd by not chasing down a ball that hadn't fallen directly to his feet. The incident with Yedlin was insane, he was doing his nut at the ref and Yedlin for what was a perfectly timed challenge. Certainly no where near the player that played so well at SJP early season, maybe the biggest indication of Hughes losing the trust of his players. Apparently they've got the oldest squad in the PL too, that's not good.
  22. What's odd, and a reason to remain optimistic, is that there has been no announcement yet that the deal is off. The process could and should have been completed by now, the relegation clause is obviously the stumbling block, but surely any new owner can see that the manager and current squad is capable of easily staying IF a little wise investment is made in key positions. No news, I think is still good news here, they may be wisely holding off pushing the deal through until we are in a more comfortable place in the table, the irony is though we may never get to that place unless a new owner comes in.
  23. It is always a bit of a gamble buying a fringe player from one of the rich clubs that looks good in the odd sub appearance. They are generally playing with much better players than you have and in a team that creates a lot and has a ton of confidence. Going to Leicester was a strange decision, maybe they were the only ones will to pay the price, because they were already well set up front. Could be he just needs time and they are preparing for when Vardy leaves or retires, that may be a while away though and at the moment it's looking like a bit of a was waste of money.
  24. I would look to sell if we can to raise funds, of the three wingers we had on the pitch yesterday he was easily he most ineffective. He's just not shown he's capable of consistently being quality as he did last season at this level.
  25. If they confine themselves to British, they are going to struggle to find anyone remotely capable. Crazy if they sack him, how many teams have fired their managers at the bottom of the table this year, new manager bounce is starting to wear off for some, for West Brom it's not even started yet, hopefully Swansea's is very short lived since we have them in our next game.
