  1. Isak out for £130m, Jackson in for £100m
  2. £50m is taking the absolute piss to be fair.
  3. Guess that's the end of that.
  4. Just been out for a walk down North Shields Fish Quay - family on the beach, 3 kids in football tops. 1 x Man City, 2 x Liverpool. Geordie accents as well. That's what we're up against as well
  5. Liverpool fans are like fucking locusts around anything Newcastle related online right now. Don't think I've seen a single one that looks or sounds like a local fan either. No wonder everyone despises them.
  6. I'm quite looking forward to it...well sort of. Had some flashes of potential, and Howe must see something in him otherwise don't think he would have been so embedded into the first team squad
  7. But we can't really grow our revenue unless we have those players to keep us at the top end It's absurd. Basically can't invest to grow.
  8. Not sure I want to listen. So we've somehow managed to piss Isak off?? Fuck sake. Still doesn't excuse him acting like a twat. Still can't see anything other than a Liverpool transfer early next week urgh.
  9. Twitter shite saying he's put in an official transfer request and demanding a Liverpool move.
  10. What an absolute loon. New ground in 4 years as well It'll be several years from now if they announce it this summer I reckon.
  11. I've just seen the Saudi news on the Guardian. What in the actual fuck. So they've now decided to directly undermine us rather than help our rivals. We won't even be able to use any transfer fee against European squad cost ffs. Wouldn't then be surprised they sold him to one of the breakaway clubs for £50m next season.
  12. Globally, ensuring a closed-shop at the top is arguably preferable for the PL? The majority of domestic and global fans are for Arse, Man U, Liverpool, City, and Chelsea. Having a Villa or Newcastle disrupt this group could be off-putting to those fans, and therefore damaging to the product.
  13. Based on his leaks to the press. Not willing to engage on new contract and has named the club he wants to join. That's peak c*nt.
  14. Our squad cohesion has probably been a great benefit to our limited squad. Having Isak around would be toxic. The fucker has made it clear he want to play for Liverpool and is done with us.
  15. He needs to threaten to resign. Maybe that will wake the owners up.
  16. It's fascinating seeing the Villa fans on Villatalk.com aren't as gleeful about this as I expected. It's dawned on them that they're pretty much as fucked as we are (though maybe not run as badly as us right now).
  17. If he hadn't downed tools, I think he would have been on that flight. The transfer could still go ahead. Isak would just fly back.
  18. If the intention is to let him go, we don't really have the time to drag it out and try and rinse Liverpool for every penny. We need him gone by early next week. Otherwise very little time to find a replacement (that's assuming we're competent enough to do that).
  19. Current starting 11 for Villa? Elanga possibly bedded in slowly. Gordon or Osula Barnes Joe Tonali Bruno Murphy Hall Botman Schar Tino Pope Fucking fuck me. Suppose it's a better team than three years ago.
  20. My brother in law is going to be so smug over this. Naturally, he's not from Liverpool and has no connections to Liverpool.
  21. I said we should essentially not bother with the cups to help our squad cope, but it's getting to the point where I doubt we'd even manage just the PL and CL. This is assuming finishing 5th is the target again.
  22. Newcastle United Facebook absolutely swarming with either foreign Liverpool fans or angry Newcastle fans. Doubt anyone at the club beyond some social media sap reads it mind.
  23. Ah well, at least we tried
  24. Howe working miracles with a small squad was the biggest factor IMO. It doesn't feel sustainable, and there's a sizeable risk we'll regress next season. Players may also have had expectations of a new training facility and significant inward investment, including closing commercial revenue gap, ensuring we can kick on and really scare the top 4. None of this has really materialised.
