Having a laugh at £40m. Walk away.

Who wouldn't want to join the World Champions tbh. Glamorous club, in glamorous city, with glamorous pay.

I'm pretty sure they're developing a stadium design after seeing evidence that suggests so. Can only think the planners and Newcastle City Council are dragging the process out.
-
They seem to be taking it up another notch. Not just two starting 11's for domestic and Europe, but both of those also having a quality back up for each position. So basically 44 quality players. And then they have, what, 15-20 farmed out on loan. Fucking absurd.

We basically missed our chance on this one last year. There's worse keepers than Pope, so not too despondent at him remaining first choice this season. It's that we at least a quality defender, midfielder and forward down that's got me anxious.

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Christ almighty, that's crazy. Except for maybe Spurs, the breakaway clubs are operating in a different universe to the rest of us. Top 4 could be a closed shop of Pool, City, Arse and Chelsea. Just got to hope Man U, Spurs and Villa have a poor summer. -
Lost count of all the new regulators and quangos Labour have set up in just a single year. After pledging to cut down on them of course.

Another article reminding us of what we already know https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/25328635.newcastle-united-need-start-tackling-challenges-psr/

Just imagine if we go into the Villa game with a smaller squad than last season It's looking increasingly plausible. Was daft getting rid of Longstaff when we're already chronically short.
-
I don't think we've even reduced the commercial revenue gap on the breakaway 6, have we? I'm pretty sure they've managed to whack there's up to maintain the massive gap. The lack of activity on sponsorships, training ground and stadium are an utter joke. We're essentially at our limit - likely one decent season around 4-5th then maybe regress to 6-7th if the breakaway 6 re-assert themselves with their seemingly insurmountable spending power. Maybe PiF have decided this is now good enough?

It was £100,000

If you're already running a loss from day to day club operations, including player salaries, then yes, it would make sense. PSR isn't just about transfer profits and loss. We're always going to be struggling near the top unless we raise regular club income by 50% or so.
-
Well yeah, should have phrased it better. As in use a second string as much as we can. Longstaff would have been ideal for cup games.
-
I've been saying for weeks we need to abandon the domestic cups for 25/26 season. But with sheer strength of Liverpool, Arse, City, Chelsea, and potentially Villa, Spurs and Man U, repeating CL qualification will still be tall order with such a limited squad.

What a fucking calamitous summer this is turning out to be.
