I'm actually annoyed that we're not heading into the World Cup break unbeaten due to Liverpool's jammy late winner. Unbelievable this season has become..
-
Dream Liverpool scenario - Get taken over by a Chinese state conglomerate, club becomes a front for the Communist Party, and Uyghur labour camps are soon revealed as the source club merchandise. Liverpool fans then defend the Community Party and slavery through wearing solidarity t-shirts.
-
I'm not even thinking about CL qualification. Europa League alone would be incredible. I'd be mightily pissed if we manage to qualify but get knocked out by a Champs League failure whose fans and players don't really want to be there.
-
Champs League failures still dropping into Europa? Thought that was going to end ffs. It's fucking absurd.
-
Jesus. The replies to that Premier League tweet. They also seem to be disproportionately Man Utd and Max Verstappen fans.
-
The club have done so much right. Will be truly depressing if it becomes aligned with what remains a regressive, homophobic state. You'd hope the Chron would hold them to account on this...

Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Newcastle United (23/10/2022)

Fcuking hell. You just know time wasting added time will give them an equaliser -
The Liverpool fans on RAWK are fucking ghastly. The levels of entitlement are staggering. It's cult like. Fans on most other forums seem quite reasonable, especially City and Man United oddly enough.
-
How?! Is it an app?
-
Thank god for City. Hope they fucking canter to the title. It's annoying how good they are, but at least the manager and fans aren't insufferable c*nts. Would be delightful if we surpass them in 4-5 years time.
-
That shirt and the prospect of playing in Saudi colours is grotesque.
-
Don't think expansion or move is ever going to happen. Land down by the Arena is already due to be developed, Leazes Park is a non-starter and constraints around St James' are too great.
-
Small snippet in the Sunday Times Business pages - they claim Ashley failed to pay the Sport Direct advertising for the the 2 years prior to takeover.
-
Rod Liddle of the Times attacking Newcastle yet again today. Seems to be getting more frequent. In summary - NUFC fans are fickle and demanding and deserve nothing less than relegation this season. Oh. and Bruce always acted with dignity at the club, but the awful Newcastle fans drove him out - like they do with most managers.
-
The Times seem keen to portray us negatively at any opportunity - yesterday's win was not a first for Newcastle United, but rather the 'Saudis'. And Newcastle fans are disgruntled with Howe after just two games according to Ron Liddle.
-
Who would honestly want to come? The club now seems to be viewed as toxic, and it's becoming evident the Premier League and other clubs want to make life very difficult. The high risk of relegation won't help either.
-
As manorpark has alluded to, city planners were unhappy with original scheme. This have now been revised, and proposals for the site are now moving forward.
-
Too late for the riverside. The entire plot beside the Arena is just about to get approval for residential.
-
Devastated this has happened 18 months too late, with the precious land needed to extend St James' sold off cheaply to Ashley's chums. Guess we're now trapped in what may eventually be one of the smaller Premier League grounds.

I like Barry a lot but know that he, like many other Guardianers, have been very condescending towards Newcastle fans on this topic. What's he said now? The bloke is a complete moron man, how can you have such a reductive outlook on sporting competition when your profession is literally sports journalism? You can essentially distill his argument to - if you're not at the bottom of the football pyramid, you've got nothing to moan about Heaven forbid fans actually have ambitions for their team to be successful His Mackem blinkers heavily inform his contrarian rhetoric and it's so painfully obvious. He'll still be pleading for sympathy for them without the esteemed logic that he applied to us. Guardian journalists love us, don't they...

Can't get radio coverage on digital and FM, both are Sunderland?! -
They started digging boreholes in the Strawberry Place carpark today. Looks like the ground will soon be hidden behind high rises
-
Isn't the land in the hand of Ashley's in-laws now, so any hopes of expansion gone?

Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

Been after good skipping rope and resistance bands since my John Lewis set wore out. After much searching, I reluctantly visited Sports Direct and came away with £40 of Everlast goods (which I hid in my own bag rather than carry a Sports Direct one). Tried them tonight... absolute junk Everlast is also owned by Sports Direct ffs Suppose that explains why they're so sh*t. Should have know better. Just gonna have to write the 40 quid off -
£9 million. That's how much Ashley sold out our hopes of ever expanding St James. F*cking tw*t.
