Yeah! So he won't be starting every game man! He didn't start on Thursday, and so should do tomorrow now.
-
Wirtz always loses it
-
Sensational goal that.
-
Yes, he said that after the Barca game when people were moaning about him not starting Woltemade in that game
-
£250 million on backup players man
-
Liverpool look livelier with Wirtz dropped. Really think Isak is going to have some battle displacing Ekitike this season too. Ekitike's work rate and motor is at a higher level than Isak's and so if he keeps scoring and linking up as well as he has, it's going to be delightfully awkward.
-
What?! He said that in regard to him not starting on Thursday. Fully expect him to start against Bournemouth.

They just smashed Valencia last weekend 6-0, and are used to creating lots of chances and scoring quite freely. They didn't have a single shot on target until Rashford's header went in, because we were making life difficult for them. We got in behind them often in the first half and looked far more dangerous than they did, even though they had more possession and passed it around well, it was not very threatening. Their midfield two of Pedri and De Jong have gotten a lot of praise, but I think that has mostly come off the back of the second half and how they saw out the game at the end, once we started to tire. I thought early on they were overwhelmed for the most part.

Exactly. With the new format especially, this game isn't as crucial to our qualification chances.
-
Might as well have stayed home then, because even close up you don't know what you're looking at. Describing any of his performance as "rubbish" is absolutely mental.
-
That passage of play where he did well to receive the ball turn and carry it for a bit and had Gordon open on the left running into space, and just had to play him in, and he just completely ignores him, and does a 180 turn and dribbles right back into the congested midfield and immediately loses the ball. My God ... one of the most infuriating bits of play I've seen in a while

You do realise you're supposed to look at the screen and have your eyes open when the game is on right?
-
You'll have to take it up with the manager. It made perfect sense to me.
-
He didn't have cramp today, he had it on Saturday. His fitness isn't up to the required levels yet. He wasn't going to start today, play 60 mins and do the same again early on Sunday. Not difficult to understand.
-
Yeah, he'll be fine. Glad he got the goal at the end. Just isn't a natural upfront, but it was just about doing a job there tonight and mostly being a nuisance and a threat in behind. It's an emergency situation with Wissa being out and not taking liberties with Woltermade with him joining up so late on, and not being up to speed fully with the team's intensity, especially with such a short turn around for Sunday 2pm where he will have to start.
-
Rest him against Bournemouth and play who?
-
Our next game after this night finish on Thursday, is early on Sunday away from Newcastle, all the way down at Bournemouth. Wasn't surprised Woltemade didn't start today, especially with him struggling with cramp late on in his debut, and having to come off. The complaining about this is weird.

Did the difficult stuff then followed up by bone headed decisions on the most straight forward bits. Really dopey and incredibly irritating.
-
Honestly, some really horrendous stuff being spouted. Really solid performance, and plenty more to come from this team.
-
One of these days we will have two strikers to pick from Has ultimately cost us today not having Wissa. So frustrating. Very respectable showing. Really glad we got a goal, as we deserved at least one. We're going to be so good once we settle into the season, and hopefully Wissa and Ramsey return to fitness. Good game.
-
Need to play it into the big man when the chance is there. They don't do so enough.
-
Fucking brilliant goal! Happy for Gordon.
-
Willock is a fucking idiot.
