    NUFC Transfer Rumours

And so what happened when we went for them, and where are they now?

You don't seem to live in reality. Football Manager is out in a couple of months, and so you can do all of this yourself then.

He was the only Prem player that scored a similar number of goals to the previous striker upfront, that also has speed in behind and down the channels, and can also carry the ball and create chances for his team mates, providing some of the traits that the previous striker did. He can also play on the left, right and through the middle. As he's adjusted to the league already, he also takes a ton of pressure off Woltemade's shoulders and should allow him to be brought along at a pace that works for him. He also fits well alongside Woltemade when they are paired as their styles complement each other. I also can't see him having an issue being rotated at times for Woltemade either, as he played more of a complementary role when Toney was still at Brentford. We had to do this transfer once it was at all possible. We've done it at the absolute highest limit at £55 million, which you can't really blame Brentford for, as it is a big risk for them. Ideally we'd have got away with paying around £45 million, which would have probably been about right for him (taking into account his age and 2 years left on his contract). I'd say we went £10 million over, which I think was well worth doing. Luis Diaz went to Bayern for £65 million this summer, he is a year younger at 28 this year, and he's more of an out and out winger and not the level of goal scorer Wissa is, as he tends to be quite erratic in front of goal. I think we did just fine with this deal and it will become more and more apparent once we get back to playing matches.

No, it's these kind of idiots that get carried away and start abusing players in the street when they're with their families. It's fucking football man. Get a fucking grip.

You keep making excuses for weirdo behaviour. There's something seriously wrong with some of you.

This sort of behaviour by the fans is what is going to drive players away, or have them not join in future. Moreso than any precedent Isak has supposedly set. This is so disturbing and weird man.
  7. I can't believe people are now obsessing over who liked his Instagram posts. This is just so tragic man
  8. I went to the away game at Arsenal at the end of the season. A lot of the Arsenal fans were speculating that he had missed the game on purpose to jeopardize Champions League qualification for Newcastle. They thought he was doing it to join them though

They haven't got any clean ones left. It's been a summer of perpetual bedwetting The whole mattress and bed need doing away with at this point

    Marc Guehi

Watch Glasner leave for Man Utd in a few weeks
  13. Why have Liverpool left the deal for Guehi so late over what £5 million?! Ridiculous. Be funny if it falls through.
  14. And which reputable sources are you basing the latest info on

    Nicolas Jackson

Think they're panicking a bit after missing out on Wirtz and Woltemade, and Chelsea were then threatening to recall Jackson and all.
  16. Just what we had to tell Liverpool to get them to fork out the £130 million and think it was a bargain for the spaghetti groined twat!
  17. Yes, just in time for us to buy him back and pair with Woltemade, as Wissa rides off into the sunset.
  18. Absolutely incredible business! Guess those Denmark Under 21s showings were really appreciated by other clubs! Love that a buy back clause was included, especially because of how good Frankfurt are at developing strikers! Kolo Muani, Marmoush, Ekitike ... Will Osula?!!! Absolutely perfect this news dropped while people were bitching about how much money we overpaid on transfers. Ha!

Having read all of the back and forth about this over the summer and thinking about it all a lot more, I'm fine with all of it. Both Isak and Wissa. Newcastle and Brentford will have to learn to be careful about what they express to players, whether it's written down or not. Otherwise you risk this sort of thing kicking off, whether you like it or not, and so in future just don't fucking do it. It's very simple. As for the fans feeling disrespected or hard done by, well they'll have to get over it. There is no level of disrespect any of these players can ever exhibit that compares to the way fans have a go at and abuse these players when they are deemed to be "shit". There's all kinds of craziness being talked about players that have only just joined the club this summer, and were excited to do so ... and I tell you it's really changed my mind about all of this. If you can shit on them to the extents we've seen with the likes of Joelinton when they're bad, then when they're good and don't feel any kind of way doing the same and forcing their way out over any kind of slight from the club or whatever, then no fucking complaining!

Didn't think this deal was still possible. Delighted we've managed to essentially replace Isak's goals in the league with someone that scored similarly well last season. I'm also really happy for Wissa who gets his dream move to Newcastle who he's insisted on joining from the outset over other options. If we have to allow our players dreams to come true elsewhere, then let others come here to make their dreams come true also. With all that said, my favourite part of the deal is going to be observing how all the people that have been slating this fine fellow that ONLY wanted Newcastle, will now have to come to terms with him joining the club and scoring goals, and awkwardly navigating it all
