Yeah of course, but it's completely mad he's got his club wrong and imagined watching him in a match he didn't even play in
-
I was so confused as to what he was going on about. Embarrassing
-
Really like Anderson in this deeper role initiating play. Really found his position there. Think we may end up seeing similar happen with Miley.
-
Didn't he already say he went to have a chat with him after the game to apologise about the tackle?! For goodness sake man.
-
It's extreme bed wetting as a form of anxiety management.
-
Will also have two wide men flying forward either side to play in, or that will create space for him by pushing the defensive line of the opposition back. Appears this German side are trying to play some bootleg version of Pep ball and don't use any wingers either. It was awful.
-
The big man got a full 90 for fitness and didn't get injured. Sorted.
-
Getting more and more excited about his flop potential. He's got on the ball the most for them this game and is supposed to be making things happen, and it's been so underwhelming.
-
It's advanced bed wetting. Proclaiming signings are poor early on as some kind of weird defence mechanism.
-
Do Germany have any widemen that can take a man on? Slovakia just by moving the ball forward quicker and having some decent wing play are destroying them.
-
Tah has been so bad. Playing like an uncle.
-
The state of Rudiger there man

Not involved enough or getting enough touches to get into the game like you'd want this sort of striker to. Team is more concerned with recycling possession from side to side and only cross the ball as a last resort. I think he'll enjoy our style more. It will go into his feet earlier when there's less bodies around him, and we actually play with wingers that look to get the ball in the box often. As for this Wirtz guy ... he's been poor, hoping for a big fat flop on Merseyside.
-
Wirtz stinks. Lost the ball and Slovakia scored.
-
Even Germany do the slow build up and side to side thing. Just so tedious. Too slow getting the ball forward and they don't get crosses into the box often enough.

Wissa/Woltemade vs Isak/Ekitike vs Delap/Pedro vs Cunha/Sesko Should be very interesting to see which of these combos comes out on top. All new tandems and all players were connected with Newcastle in some form or fashion this summer.
-
We already had Woltemade. Seemed to be between Strand Larsen and Wissa.
-
Strand Larsen sent home from international duty due to continued problems with his achilles. Wonder if that affected our approach for him at all, and any possible further push.
-
I'm not sure why you think we can afford to do any of this, or why you think any of it is realistic, but it's not. You also need to look into some of your player evaluations because they are way off.

Fantastic. So we are selling Gordon for just £40 million. Brilliant. And so how much are we then getting Leao/Barcola, Frattesi/Lopez plus Scalvini for?
-
Right. So who are you selling Gordon to, and for how much?
-
And so what happened when we went for them, and where are they now?
-
You don't seem to live in reality. Football Manager is out in a couple of months, and so you can do all of this yourself then.

He was the only Prem player that scored a similar number of goals to the previous striker upfront, that also has speed in behind and down the channels, and can also carry the ball and create chances for his team mates, providing some of the traits that the previous striker did. He can also play on the left, right and through the middle. As he's adjusted to the league already, he also takes a ton of pressure off Woltemade's shoulders and should allow him to be brought along at a pace that works for him. He also fits well alongside Woltemade when they are paired as their styles complement each other. I also can't see him having an issue being rotated at times for Woltemade either, as he played more of a complementary role when Toney was still at Brentford. We had to do this transfer once it was at all possible. We've done it at the absolute highest limit at £55 million, which you can't really blame Brentford for, as it is a big risk for them. Ideally we'd have got away with paying around £45 million, which would have probably been about right for him (taking into account his age and 2 years left on his contract). I'd say we went £10 million over, which I think was well worth doing. Luis Diaz went to Bayern for £65 million this summer, he is a year younger at 28 this year, and he's more of an out and out winger and not the level of goal scorer Wissa is, as he tends to be quite erratic in front of goal. I think we did just fine with this deal and it will become more and more apparent once we get back to playing matches.
