  1. Fair play Longstaff. This would be a huge result for Leeds Wow.
  2. All these dimwit teams thirsting after Isak when he was at Newcastle when they don't play the same sort of game we do that got the best out of him. This Slot is another side to side possession merchant Hope Isak is having PTSD from his Sociedad days
  3. Lots of interest in him this summer, and he was happy to sign a new deal and be the main man there. Glad he's doing so well. Respect the way he handled it all in the summer.
  4. Man City can't even keep Burnley from scoring when playing at home.
  5. Remember a bunch of people saying they felt sorry for Bournemouth losing all their best players. Good manager and good recruitment. They've had no drop off whatsoever, and if anything look even better.
  6. Thought Brentford looked the much better team. Keith Andrews already showing up Amorim having only just become a manager. There is nothing cohesive in whatever it was Man Utd were trying to do. Can't believe after ten Hag they've ended up with someone significantly worse.
  7. He was played as one of the 8s in central midfield under Eddie, not out wide. He played out wide in League two under Barton.
  8. I'm just delighted we have two goalkeepers that are so good in slightly different ways too. I don't know if anyone caught the Lincoln vs Chelsea game or highlights but that Jorgensen guy they have as a backup was a calamity, and even Sanchez who starts for them can be so chaotic too. Then you have had the likes of Onana and Bayendir at Man United as well. Quite surprising that no one else looked at Ramsdale, especially for the kind of deal we were able to get him for.
  9. If Wissa doesn't get injured it would have been slim pickings for him, as far as game time. That injury has changed things somewhat, and Osula has an opportunity to make the most of that. If he continues to do well, then he can also fill in while Wissa is at AFCON. He's the main one that has a chance to benefit from Wissa getting hurt.

Looks like he's recovered from the injury already then, and so it's just a case of getting back up to fitness, which is good.
  11. Its just so weak though. It's mostly some kind of defence mechanism because they're anxious about getting disappointed if a new player or an emerging player doesn't end up as good as they hoped or anticipated. If everyone and everything is shit then they can never be disappointed by anything, in their minds.
  12. 100% this. A lot of people don't actually really enjoy or like football. It's just something else to complain about and an opportunity to express their frustrations with their own lives. I think it's very unfortunate that the local fans are harsher with local players that make it through, when it should be the opposite if anything. As someone already mentioned it was similar with Anderson, and its why I've found all the cries for him to come back particularly annoying. The bizarre thing about all of this is that Miley at his very worst has been nowhere near poor enough to be getting these sorts of reactions. Playing so well in central midfield at his age is no small feat. Overall I'm still surprised by how good he's been.
  13. Yeah, think last night will go a long way towards that. He would have won some more trust with Howe, with that showing.
  14. Yeah, I think he's more ready to play down the side, and it comes much more naturally to him currently. Considering Murphy's age it's well worth giving him opportunities there to see if he can be another option there longer term. We should still work on his ability to play upfront too though, as he has great attributes for that also if he can get better, and it will just mean he's a more complete and versatile player.
  15. Really like that Howe specifically mentions his play out wide, would really like to see him also get more opportunities in that position.
  16. Fantastic player no doubt, but he seems to be a knucklehead He's giving off Jhon Duran vibes in that regard.
  17. Get the impression he's been doing other dumb stuff hence the strong response Didn't he film himself on the phone while he was driving recently too Get the impression he's going to be a real headache with random ridiculous behaviour.
  18. Miley was unreal in that 6 position over the summer against Espanyol. There was a number of us discussing it in the match thread at the time. Think Howe was impressed by it too, as he's since mainly used him there. Really should continue to focus on mastering that role going forward. His awareness of what is going on around him and his composure on the ball when being closed down suit the position very well.

Yeah, he's going to be a key piece against low blocks. I think we were looking for one of the strikers we signed this summer to have that sort of profile.

    Anthony Elanga

That's Murphy's thing because he can't really take defenders on and beat them to the byline. Elanga on the other hand, is very good at doing that and should play his own game. He's created loads of chances this season doing just that. He'll be fine.

    Anthony Elanga

Funnily enough should have had an assist last night when he played in Osula shortly after his first goal, and he got a good strike in with his left that was saved, and he really should have scored when he was put through on goal too. Even when he's just had an okay showing he is still a big threat to make something happen. Going to be a big asset for the team over the season.

    Nick Woltemade

Agreed. Think Barnes on the left and Osula on the right, like we ended last night, really fit that wide forward role that would benefit massively from what Woltemade does.

Acting as though they've never seen a striker that drops off and links play before. The team is getting more and more accustomed to him and will start finding him on cutbacks when he arrives later on in moves he's started off, and he'll start banging in the goals soon enough. Then they'll stop saying he's not a striker.
