He missed his chance unfortunately. Sell.

Redknapp's as bent as a Samurai sword, gets teams relegated and is even older than Hodgson. Get lost, man.
He would still be a better bet than Allardyce. No doubt about it.
-
I know this won't be popular but if you are going English, Harry Redknapp should even be way ahead of Sam.
At least Harry showed he can get performance out of top players at Spurs, which he did both in the league, and in the Champions League.
Genuinely don't understand why they are so adverse to Redknapp, but then look at Sam and Bruce. I think it's ridiculous.
Redknapp would do well with England IMO.

I just think it's going to be hilarious to watch, no idea what Sam is going to do. The players will absolutely hate him.
This is it for me. The players will be disgusted by him. This won't be the standard try hards he usually signs.
Imagine leaving your club where you have been working with the likes of Guardiola, Mourinho, Wenger, Conte, Klopp, Pochettino, Koeman etc. only to come and start listening to Fat Sam Allardyce scream at you during brief intervals between his gum chewing.
It's going to be a massive disaster.
Is it really down to Allardyce and Steve Bruce?
Apparently it looks as though Allardyce is odds on. It's an absolutely shocking development.

Would be happy with that. £25 million is great for him. He will be so disinterested in the Championship, there is no way we should keep him.

Was Crouch really a dud at Liverpool? Cannot really remember tbh but it always seemed he did alright for them.
Wasnt on about Crouch specifically. Just pointing that Rafa has it in him. Ngog, Nunez, Dossena, Voronin, Aquilani etc
Liiked Aquilani in Italy but i always thought his eyes were too close together to be a really top player.
-
If Crouch comes in then I'd imagine Mitrovic is off. Having two strikers of that ilk, who have zero pace is a bit of overkill.

Going to be very interesting to see where Sissoko goes next, and what kind of player he becomes. He's been such an enigma here that there will never be any agreement over how good he is.
One thing I do know is that I would not want him being the main guy I looked to in my team to make things happen. Neither would I want him as a leader in my team.

We have Ritchie & Aarons for the wings dont we, where would Ibe play? None of the 3 would expect bench time.
Aarons has done nothing to warrant a starting spot man
Eh, he's been pretty quality whenever started in his actual position. Injury has kept him out, not ability. If he's not getting a consistant chance at championship level he wont be staying here like.
And when last was that? That guy is a squad player to start the season. No way he can be trusted as he never stays fit, and has not played a full memorable game in over a year.
-
Isn't Ibe just another winger who can't beat his man? Looked like that to me whenever I saw him play.
Same here. He did absolutely nothing against us, can't remember which full back had him in his pocket, might have been Anita. I've only seen him a couple of times though, maybe he hid all his tricks on those occasions or was still hungover from the night before.
Maybe you guys just can't see anything in a player unless they have scored 20 goals or got 20 assists.
The same kind of thing was said about Townsend time and time again. Some here even went as far as calling him another Obertan.
Ibe is a fantastic young talent that we'd be lucky to get.

Tbf he is the stereotypical British 50+ male. Perfect representation.
With that heed, f*** off man
It's amazing how high the cap sits.

In other news West Ham place a £100 million price tag on Payet
Seems we're being very reasonable with our valuation of Sissoko in comparison.

Ibe would be a tremendous buy, but I can't believe he'd opt for dropping down a division.
Why? He's not an established prem player. Still a young guy looking for an opportunity to feature week in and week out, which he'd get with us.
I just think he's good enough to play regularly in the Premiership, and for a decent side.
Yeah, I agree. I just think the kind of club likely to give him that kind of opportunity I the prem would likely be a newly promoted side, or one that is not that established or high profile. So joining a club like Newcastle under Benitez that is clearly pushing to return asap, is likely an attractive proposition. If he does well, like Townsend did, and we return straight back up, he'd be a fixture in the team going forward in the prem under a great manager, and a at a club with a lot more potential and better profile.

Man Utd now rumoured to be interested due to issues agreeing a fee for Pogba. Definitely a Mourinho player. Similar to that Brazilian he had at Chelsea Ramires.
There's only one way in which Sissoko is similar to Ramires.
Athletic run all day midfielders with little end product.

I feel like his situation would be similar to Townsend. Has everything you want in a winger/attacking midfielder, but just doesn't get enough run.
-
Really like Ibe. Think if he is playing weekly he will really flourish.
-
Was just asking out of interest, as I genuinely don't know. Was just a follow up to Venkman's post.
Look the guy is useful, but I think he is more worthwhile in a team where he is in amongst other really good players. He cannot be relied upon as the main man, which is the position we essentially put him in.
Someone will pay a lot for him and he will leave for sure.
-
So he ended up getting a fair amount of playing time in the end, and so how many assists or goals did he end up with out of interest? It was zero of each right?
-
The guy looked a decent player to at least have in the mix, but certainly wasn't expecting a prem side to be in for him. Bruce man, what a melon

I imagine seeing Iceland do "well" with a direct and organised approach has influenced these jokers.
Instead of recognising the England team has far more talent and looking for someone that can nurture it, they are looking to emulate Iceland.
Unreal.

The guy has been very unlucky and it just hasn't worked out. Sell.
