Thing is I could definitely see McClaren doing really well here.
The fact he and Carr will be on the same page is going to be huge.
I still think we sign really good players, and McClaren Pisces all over Pardew in coaching ability.
-
Article in the telegraph just popped up on newsnow. Looking like it's McClaren.
Could have done better, but I'm okay with it.
He is close to Carr, and is a genuine coach, and so I'm interested to see how it plays out.
I'm very relieved.

Could the agent sound any more needy by the way? Doubt Tottenham or Newcastle even know his number.
-
Tottenham have called him. We're just perversely listening in on the call for thrills.

End of next week and probably not Carver:

This is not new information.

Getting the right guy in could cure so many ills man. Just do it already. So annoying.
-
Okay, well at least it's sounding more like Carver is out of the picture, for which I am very grateful.
-
Remember when France used to break all of our transfer news? Before the morons over here had a clue?
I'm very hopeful purely from that standpoint.

Graham Carr needs to grow a pair tbh.
Should grab Charnley by the throat, and squeeze the life out of him, until he gets a proper manager in!
-
Yeah, must have missed that somehow. So funny
-
Gourvennec seems similar to Galtier, i.e. tactically astute, very good at developing players but somewhat pragmatic. Does anybody here know how Guingamp play? They don't seem to score that many goals.
EDIT: Oh.
Come on man!

Can't stop laughing at that pic
Where on Earth have you got that from?

Really looking forward to seeing what these lot do in the window. Going to be fun.

'no interest' in gourvernec according to mark Douglas
f*** this life!

One would assume that Graham Carr would be aware of him anyway. As always though, why would such a promising manager in high demand be willing to work under Ashley's ridiculous conditions for the job? We could easily ruin his growing reputation through no fault of his own.
The guy could easily have been walking into a club that had the following players:
Ben Arfa
Marveaux
Cabella
Sissoko
Yanga-Mbiwa
Haidarra
Rivere
Janmaat
Siem De Jong
Cisse
Bet he would have been absolutely chuffed with that!
This club has been made to look so much more unattractive by the cretins in charge. Let's not get too down on it.

Oh this is just great isn't it ... sickening if this goes down.
-
Brought them from the 3rd division to the Europa League in three seasons with a trophy along the way. Must not get excited.
Dude ... read that article from ESPN just above.
It will make you weep man. The guy sounds incredible.
He's so gettable too. It's why I always hate hearing from the "Who could we get crowd".
There are people like this out there that we don't even know that much about, but with a bit of research, the powers that be should be looking at these types of people!
-
Kin' hell.
That article is immense.
Man ... we really need a good manager. Sick of this bullshit.
-
Argh! If we end up with Carver man!
-
He's done outstandingly well at Guingamp, I would definitely take him. Would also probably mean we wouldn't sign 11 Jack Colbacks.
You just know we'll get Gourvennec, and then proceed to surround him with 11 Colbacks.

Really looking forward to seeing what these lot do in the window. Going to be fun.

Apparently we've shat ourselves because Mitrovic wanted £69,000 a week.
Ambition.
Rather cheeky request from a 20 year old from the Belgian league tbf.
That's probably around what we're paying Cisse I would imagine!

Well this is interesting!
Maybe that's why Sissoko was so excited about staying.
