  1. Quite glad to also see Bayern end up with egg on their face yet again after wasting time and trying to be too clever!
  2. I'm really glad you're not in charge!
  3. Certainly starting to make more sense. I'm sure the club were also not keen on him getting injured either.
  4. The best part about this is that your'e hopefully stuck with him now. I hope he comes back in a foul mood and stinks up the place. And starts leaking all sorts of info via the media. The whole works.
  5. And if he flops or gets injured?
  6. The spanish article that got posted said they had been in touch with Gordon's reps a month ago! Been going on for a while it seems.
  7. Ooof ... so they've essentially bid around £70 million plus add-ons. Yeah, this one is going to get done pretty soon I reckon. Probably just ironing out the details on those add-ons.
  8. The Athletic have apparently said we want £70 million. Their opening bid is supposedly £60 million. Think there's a good chance they'll come to some sort of agreement.
  9. It's not a below par offer I'm not sure where this £80 million valuation has even come from, especially considering how he's often spoken about on here
  10. There's no guarantee they'd get that additional money, and waiting till a month before the season to maybe get it, would be a terrible idea. Knowing this club he'd get injured during the World Cup and would end up stuck at Newcastle.
  11. I mean ... £70 million isn't cheap though is it And I actually even rate him, while most think he's shite
  12. I think that's about right. Throw a few add-ons in there and that's a good deal done nice and early. Next step go and then offer all of that to Burnley for Jaidon Anthony
  13. It's Euros. Think this one will run for a little while yet, as I don't think we'll be accepting that. They've actually seemingly put an initial bid on the table though, and so are seemingly much more serious about things. Barça sends a formal offer of 70 million to Newcastle for Anthony Gordon! Barça have sent a formal offer to the British club and are in pole position to sign the winger. Barcelona are looking to make a decisive move for Anthony Gordon. According to SPORT, the Catalan club have already submitted a formal offer of €70 million to try and secure the signing of the England international and beat out other major European clubs such as Bayern Munich and Liverpool. Barcelona's sporting management considers the Newcastle winger an absolute priority to bolster Hansi Flick's attacking options. The club believes Gordon possesses a profile that is very difficult to find in the current market due to his age, performance, versatility, and potential for growth. At 25, the British attacker can play both as a left winger and centrally, a versatility that particularly appeals to the German manager. In fact, Flick gave the green light to the transfer days ago and believes the player would fit perfectly into his playing style due to his physical attributes, aggressive pressing, speed, and ability to attack space. The German coach also believes Gordon still has room to improve his performance within an attacking context like Barça's. Optimism at Barça The feeling at the club after the latest contacts has been especially positive. Deco and Bojan Krkic recently traveled to England to advance several transfer deals, but one of the key names on their agenda was precisely Anthony Gordon. Both executives returned to Barcelona with very positive feelings after the talks held during the trip. At Barça, they consider it crucial to act quickly to prevent other clubs with greater financial resources from gaining an advantage in the coming weeks. Another factor generating optimism at Camp Nou is the player's willingness. The contacts revealed by SPORT in a face-to-face meeting held in Barcelona about a month ago between the player's representatives and members of the Barça sporting management were very positive. In that meeting, the England international's entourage conveyed that Gordon would be very keen to wear the Barça shirt despite having a contract with Newcastle until 2030. The high asking price remains the main obstacle in this complex operation, but at Barça they believe the player's willingness could ultimately be decisive in bringing positions closer and facilitating negotiations that have already entered a much more serious phase.
  14. Yup. Flick's system pushes up really high when they press aggressively. One lazy guy in there and they get killed. Wouldn't be surprised if that's what has cost him.
  15. A reminder that a lot of these reported wages never also mention how much clubs are giving them in added bonuses. That would be the real eye opener I imagine.
  16. I saw a different report this morning that said Barca were fine with our valuation provided they could pay in installments, which we were fine with. Will soon see if that is true.
  17. Will he be playing in the Championship though?
  18. No, my friend ... they are moving for the big club "aura". That's why Man City were able to sign all the talent they did after their takeover and none of these "aura" big clubs could just go and take them off Man City. Because we all know Man City always had the ultimate "aura"!

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Will depend on how highly we rate him I imagine. We've tracked him for forever it feels like. How much do you reckon he's on at Juve and how much do you think they'd be after considering he hasn't settled in well there? I've seen reports he'll be available on loan initially with an option or obligation, or a fee of 30 million euros outright, but hard to be certain till any bids start going in. Wages seem to be reported as anywhere from £150,000 to £180,000 a week.
