These are 3 individual game reports one of which was in 2023. So is this what gets defenders described as Bramble nowadays?! Guess I shouldn't be surprised as people were calling Burn shit the odd time he got beat for pace in a game.

    Where have you seen this?

I've seen the blunder thing mentioned with this guy on here a few times now, but don't recall seeing or hearing that elsewhere. Usually defenders like that will have clips of their errors, but yet I can't find any. Anyone that has mentioned this able to share any more on that?

He also wants to join, which I have REALLY come to appreciate more this summer

Yeah, noticed the aggressive man to man pressing thing, which we do with our centre backs. Think Thiaw looks a very good fit stylistically.

We've clearly had our eye on this guy. Think something about his style is deemed to be well suited to how we play. Think he's going to exceed expectations considerably. He also signed for Milan when he was quite young and inexperienced so is on less than £20,000 a week currently, and so he will easily fit into the wage structure at very good value you imagine.

Yeah, would be happy with whatever approach they choose to go with as I can see the attraction to each option. With Wissa and Strand Larsen I can't see us dropping off at all in the Prem even with the one whose name we will no longer mention leaving. Samu may need a bit of an adjustment period in the short term and it could cost us here and there, which could end up being more costly come the end of the season, especially with Spurs and Man United more likely to bounce back this season now. Lets see what they opt for. Personally, think we'll be fine either way.

@Shadow Puppets talked a bit about how they are trying to nail down consistent European qualification, and especially Champions League qualification in order to bank that money more regularly as that will open things up for the club's growth much quicker. Bringing in Wissa and Strand Larsen would make us very very capable in the Premier league as those two looked very comfortable scoring goals in the league in much lesser teams. I can understand the line of thinking. However, for me personally I just don't think I would pass on Samu's potential, especially giving they were pushing so hard for Sesko beforehand.

Strand Larsen has just turned 25 this year for what it's worth, so it's not like he's Wissa's age or anything, but it's hard to imagine him taking the leaps in improvement and development someone like Samu could still make, while still being an absolute handful in the meantime like he showed against Premier League Man Utd last season.

After another season in Portugal and some good turnouts for Spain, he will be a striker we will never have a chance of signing as all the usual suspects will be able to muscle in, in front of us. I think because we're bringing in Wissa as well who is more experienced and has performed at a high level in the Premier League, this is the kind of striker we should try and get in now as a second option, while we still have a realistic chance of doing so. I like Strand Larsen, but that would be playing it a bit safe as the alternative to Wissa I think. It would give us two very capable Premier League performers, and there'd be far more of a guarantee in the short term with both, but the tandem would lack somewhat of a special x factor to some degree, as Samu's physical and athletic profile can be overwhelming and there is so much more room for growth still with him. I can understand the dilemma the recruitment team are facing, especially with that Swedish prat acting up the way he is and with us likely losing him now, but for me I'd be looking at Wissa and Samu instead.

The clips are not in the order they took place.
  13. I think overall the team has not done a good enough job of getting the ball through to him in dangerous positions this pre season. They haven't played him in behind enough and they haven't crossed the ball well enough either. When this is the case he doesn't do a good enough job of finding spaces to get on the ball and make things happen for himself. On the rare occasion he does get on the ball, he then overdoes things and tries too hard out of desperation. I think we may end up having to fashion him into some sort of wide forward. Preferably on the right where he has had his best performances, and where we could do with another option.
  14. Going to be interesting to see how Murphy does this season if he's going to be coming off the bench more and having to get up to speed with a game. He's been giving the ball away loads this pre season and just been so casual and careless.
  15. Great at dictating the tempo and keeping possession so we're not constantly going at 100 miles per hour all the time. Going to be an excellent midfielder in that mould.
  16. The plan looks to be getting everyone up to speed with playing a full 90, hence the second game tomorrow for a different 11.
  17. Can we try the Park kid on the right for a bit? Think we might need him to feature there at some point. Murphy is having a laugh.
  18. Harrison on for Hall. Come on Harrison show us something young fella.
  19. Krafth and Murphy down this right side man. Just put a decent cross in for goodness sake.
  20. Murphy man ... my God. Is anyone going to put a decent ball into Osula at some point?
