  1. It's really the 'only God can judge me but I'll judge you all I f***ing want' types that are cretins. No problem with people who use religion in a positive way.

Well also the ones who think they know every thing about the world because they read the bible.

Yup, unfortunately anything can be "abused", or used the wrong way should we say.

Ultimately, people's actions are ultimately what will tell you the most about what they're all about.

  2. But can Man Utd afford a transition/bedding in season for Moyes (if it means missing on CL footy) ?

Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Giggs, Fabio are all out of contract this summer

Rooney, Anderson  , Carrick , Fletcher, Valencia and Cleverly will all have only one year left in their contract come this summer.

RVP may not like being without CL.

I know some of those listed players are past it and s****, but they make up a large number of this squad. They're risking losing them for free/under their market price, and it'll be harder to re-invest to replace them. It's a big risk if they miss out in CL. That'd mean basically replacing the 2/3rd of their squad within 2 seasons, and it'll take a lot of money to do it. Not to mention there are a lot of leaders/veterans in that list...we could be seeing a very new Man Utd side in a couple of years. Now, that'd be a real transition.

They need 5 world class/international type players within the next year or so...

At the exact time when they won't be interested in coming. Had to be done last season, prior to this meltdown.

The only chance they have attracting the players they will need is with a top manager, with an unquestionable record of success, who is charismatic, and who they deem to be able to turn things around.

Man U with no champions league and a dejected depressed Moyes in charge? Not attractive at all.

Any competition from other teams in the Champions League, and they won't stand a chance.

  3. If I was to talk to someone in the real world who confessed to being highly religious I'd probably secretly find them a bit loopy tbh. It just comes with the territory.

Nothing against them or anything, I just cannot comprehend spending my life like that.

That's like me aswell, i just struggle to take them serious

Bigi seems like a great lad in videos team-mates post of him and that, then his uploads are literally just filled with religous bullshit. I mean i don't mind it, if it gets the lad by day to day and gives him a self of purpose and all that but by god it's barmy, like

Think most people feel the way you both do tbh. Though, I don't.

I certainly admire the guy's courage, especially considering the way most people his age carry on.

Ultimately, when you look at his attitude compared to the other extreme, like a Nile Ranger, there's no question as to who the nutcase is.

  4. I struggle to take people seriously who believe in God, like. Bigi cracks me up on instagram.

That's interesting. It seems to serve Bigi pretty well, by all accounts a good kid and professional with his head screwed on right.

What motivates you? Or helps determine the decisions you make?

Why can't you motivate yourself, make your own decisions and be of a sound moral standing without the help of 'somebody' else?

Human nature and our entire history shows we are quite terrible at this.

It's a fascinating discussion, and one I find interesting though.

I'm going to check out that thread that was posted sometime, as I sense some people don't want to see this sort of thing discussed here.

  5. Still think this is a ploy to forget about Cardiff and nothing will actually happen.

I'm a bit more optimistic, because he was on our radar before he went to Monchengladbach, with a bid being confirmed from us then.

Also, as he hasn't worked out for them, a cheap, dirty loan seems right up MA's street.

  7. Think it's about time I repeat my mantra from the start of the season that Man U will not finish high enough in the league to qualify for Europe. All this talk of them eventually ending up 4th or 5th is surprising.

LERL - it's nearly all you go on about, well done you might be right - f*** me man even a broken clock is right twice a day.

    I know

The only chance they had was for Moyes to come flying out of the gate. Considering the pressure that has now built up, there is now way Moyes turns it around.

He's already decided that the squad isn't good enough and the referees are lining up for the other teams for all their games.

That kind of talk only serves to give his team more excuses to not perform. As I stated at the start of the season he just doesn't have the right makeup when things start faltering. Too dour and moody. I can oly imagine what he's like everyday at training at the minute.

Remember when Ashley brought Keegan back, and we were relegation candidates, and playing absolutely terribly. Even after Keegan came in we got tonked a few times, and keegan was getting a bit of stick in the media about being away to olong etc etc.

Keegan was cool as ice though, and stayed upbeat and positive about the team, and kept trying different things, particularly with our attack. Eventually, coming up with that tasty front three of Oba and Viduka, with Owen just behind.

I just don't see it in Moyes. The guy has already lost.

  9. Man, I'm not even going to pretend to understand, but I just find that troubling.

Got to suck for the woman that has committed herself, and be kind of weird for the kids too, no?!

Besides I thought the idea is that your born that way, or at least that is what the argument is.

    Seems strange to me.

It is very frequent for men to repress and hide their true allignment for a lifetime especially when society or their close family dictates that coming out would be extremely difficult. Even when its not, some men just find it very hard to admit or accept it regardless.

Elton John was married to a woman ffs.

I hear what you're saying. Really screws over whoever else is involved though.

What I will never grasp is how one's equipment is able to rise for a woman if these individuals are gay?!

Anyway ... back to football chat for me. It is a lot easier and far more comfortable.

  10. Only realised in the last few years ... isn't that guy like 30?!

Find that quite shocking, and a bit creepy tbh.

Why? You often see people coming out later on in life, even if they have a wife and kids. For some people it changes, you're not definitely one thing for the rest of your life.

  11. if the mackems beat us in the next derby it'll be the first time they've won 3 on the bounce since the 1920's apparently

he wants f***ing running out of town if that happens with the players he got like, especially considering the players they've got

I'd be stunned if we win tbh.

Pardew will be even more nervous/defensive for fear of losing to them again, and will capitulate.
