Wild speculation, alright these seem a little more reliable than our rags but other than that there's nowt to get excited about until it happens.
Um ... why not get excited? If it doesn't happen you can always "unexcite" yourself then.
I'm sure some people on here have had a good whinge when we weren't being linked to anyone afterall.
GO WILD! GET CRAZY! BE EXCITED!

I think it's safe to say we're now panicking.
Was it ever in doubt? Now shitting themselves and wondering why they didn't do any scouting outside France. I fully expect to see us dredging the out of contract list come next Thursday.
What the hell are you two on about?
The club apparently bids for other players, and it is deemed as panicking? Why on Earth would you come to that conclusion. Pretty weird s*** guys.

Although the player was initially cool on the idea of joining a newly promoted side, Willie McKay pointed out that QPR were offering a lucrative long-term deal and persuaded Barton to board a Kings Cross-bound train.

Are these guys trying to insinuate that they expect to get their money back for Cissokho? If so there is no chance of that.

Dembele is not really a striker, mind.
He's also s****.
He's not. He's a good player, creative, technically gifted, good dribble. He's just not a centre forward.
He plays as a second striker too, no?
Him playing off Ba would be pretty sexy I think.
Pretty sure he would get goals from that position. Remember him being quite the goal threat under Hughes when played as a second striker.

Is this your catphrase?
Dembele is a good player. Behave yourself.

Swansea are going to maul them this weekend.
-
Martin Jol doesn't really seem to be too keen on Moussa Dembele.
Would love to see him at Newcastle.

If we were going to sign Barnetta we wouldn't have bought Obertan IMO. We went for the cheaper and short sighted option I'm afraid. Honestly I should start up a twitter account I'd be a lot more insightful than Douglas, the prick.
Pardew has since said after obertan signed, that if Joey leaves they will look to bring in a very good replacement.
Not saying this will happen, as our recruitment is something else. However, this is what Pardew has siad. Obertan looks to have been more of a replacement for Routledge.

If QPR offer him any kind of decent long term contract he will have to go.
What is he 29? If he gets injured this season without securing a deal he is toast.
-
QPR are going to throw a bunch of money at him, and will tell him they will be bringing in more players. Funnily enough it looks like they are looking to pair him up with Parker who he was slagging off not too long ago.

Remember Emnes having some really good games for the smogs when he first signed so not sure what what wrong.
Strachan.

Emnes is only 23!
I thought he was 28/29.
Yeah, I remeber when he joined he was really young. Only just turned 23 this year.

Carlton Cole, Bendtner and Marvin Emnes mentioned today in the Chronicle.
Emnes has always looked a speedy tricky little striker, which is the kind of player that is needed, however he has only really started showing that goal scoring ability this season. Although, he might have previously been played more on the wing.
Is he the lad at Burra? Been doing well this season, from what i've seen on 'North East Tonight'.
Yeah duth striker/winger at Middlesbrough. Mowbray has really got him playing well since he went there, and he's started off the season really well.
-
The Chronicle understands one option looked at again by Newcastle was Carlton Cole.
However, sources in the East End say the 27-year-old England international is demanding £50,000 per week to move north and a transfer fee of £4.5m, plus possible add-ons, would also have to be stumped up for the West Ham striker, who has netted twice already this season.
Nicklas Bendtner is also a player the Magpies have considered this summer. with the Dane wanting £52,000 per week and, as he is still under contract at Arsenal, he has a £7m price tag on his shoulders.
While a more established striker is yearned for by Pardew and the Toon Army, the form of Marvin Emnes is believed to have not gone unnoticed by United, despite the Dutch 23-year-old signing a new four year deal at the start of this month.
Emnes has struck six goals in his opening five games of the season for Middlesbrough.
However, with Boro boss Tony Mowbray declaring all bids for his players “must be listened to seriously” because of the financial situation of the Championship side, a move away from the Riverside cannot be ruled out.

Bruce's summer signings
Westwood - another keeper
Wickham - unproven Championship kid
Wong Ji - unproven korean
Brown - perma crock
O'Shea - had injury problems too
Vaughan - part of team who got relegated
Larsson - part of team who got relegated
Gardner - part of team who got relegated
Deacon - just a kid
Shocking signings. Larsson is decent, but absolute dross otherwise.

Tim Matavz. Canny young striker at groningen. Not too expensive.
Were linked with him last season.

BREAKING: Spurs have completed loan signing of Emmanuel Adebayor
2 minutes ago
Argh! Fakin' Africans! Should have went for Santa Cruz!
-
Agree that KaKa's a Hitler fanboy who loves Africans like, it's quite clear really.
Your lack of respect for Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior is very offensive. You are clearly not someone who cannot be taken seriously. Shut your face.
-
Oh and you saying Adebayor and Diarra will be good signings is not surprising at all. I've been on the site a long time and i can't think of one African footballer you don't rate. If they're Big, Strong and most importantly African you're all for it.
Untrue! I hate Shola Ameobi's game, could strangle Yakubu, Utaka and Muntari all at once. Gyan is meh. I could go on ...
Dude stop bing so insecure. You want me to name some non Africans I like at Spurs? Okay. I really like Bale, and remember thinking it was ridiculous Tottenham came so close to giving up on him. Love Van der Vaart, like Kranjcar, even still think Bentley might be okay in the righ environment. Sandro? Fantastic. Huddleston, huge fan - but needs to lay off the cookies!
My biggest gripe with you regarding Tottenham, was the fact I thought Jenas was always absolutely awful, from what I remember. I am still quite comfortable with that assessment.
Tottenham are rgeat, but they're not Arsenal just yet, though. Sorry.

Hope Brewcey lasts the season like
Position will be untenable, after Swansea play them off the park this weekend.

Better still, "Got a smile this morning off me little lad. Really puts things into perspective."
Aye, even their kids are laughing at them now.
It was the implication that the kid only breaks into a smile once in a blue moon that got me, is it really that f***ing grim in Sunderland?

Wouldn't be a bad pickup of we lose Barton.
