Never liked Nolan. Had a good season, but is a horribly limited player, and if there is any truth to that £35 million being re-invested he should be one of the first to be moved on. Have to say I'm surprised by the Liverpool fans reaction. Carroll is an emerging talent, but I have to say as a Liverpool fan I would be quite nervous about this move. Very interesting to see how this all plays out.

£35 million is insane money. The problem is the state of the team now for me. The club are absolutely bonkers if they don't get some players in now, having sold Carroll. The actual sale of Carrol for £35 million in of itself I can't really fault though, unbelievable by Liverpool. It's all about what happens next though. Can Mike Ashley really be crazy enough to sell him and not get anyone in this window?! My God he would be mental to do so, absolutely mental.

Unbelievable money for Carroll from Liverpool. Never should have been accepted though, unless the club were prepared for this scenario and had a plan in place to get players in to counter the loss.

I'm sorry but Barton was not rubbish in the centre in the second half. His pressing won us the ball a lot of the time and he had some fantastic link up play and passing to setup the team going forward, also got into some great positions to have a strike on goal.

Lost the ball sometimes, and also didn't finsh well, and obviously that last pass was diabolical, but he was likely knackered from the shift he put in. Great performance from him.
