Loving Guthrie and Barton in midfield by the way!
Hope Best keeps doing well. Would be great to see him change people's opinions of him. I'd much rather we kept him than Shola who will inevitably be injured the whole season again.

If Routledge performs then we have a chance. Perch at centre-back though, jesus christ.
Perch is very comfortable at centre back. Pretty sure he has played therenumerous times before.

By the way, before this gets out of control. I was just having a cheeky little dig and it wasn't meant to be serious. Hence the smiley!
I love you all really. Let's just hope we get him!
However, this news of a bid breaking is a bit nerveracking tbh.
Spurs haven't signed anyone yet and you know Harry is twitching uncontrollably at the prospect of screwing us over.

Can the "Oh no got my hopes up now!" pansies kindly get a grip please. Thanks.
How about you f*** off instead?
Bit sensitive are we? Got a guilty conscience then?
You've been the biggest doommonger about the whole thing afterall so no surprise.
If we do manage to sign him how about you fuck off then eh?

Adel Taarabt moving to QPR permanently this week.
YOU ARE EXTREMELY CREEPY!

So would ben arfa cost peanuts or would this be Mike going back (positively, granted) on his word about no new capital outlay or where would the money come from?

He'll get called up to the Spanish squad by the end of the season. Mark my words.

We really do specialize in giving away free kicks on the edge of the box. t's ridiculous.
-
Stunning free kick by Toivonen. Just showed it on SSN.
-
Dzsudzsak is meant to be a really good player. Engelaar is obviously a good midfielder as well. We're gonna get fudged.
Toivonen and Jermaine Lens are supposed to be really talented too. Agree, it could get ugly.

PSV: Andreas Isaksson, Carlos Salcido, Franciso Maza Rodriguez, Marcus Berg, Ola Toivonen, Orlando Engelaar, Jermaine Lens, Erik Pieters, Balazs Dzsudzsak, Stanislav Manolev, Otman Bakkal.
Subs: Cassio Ramos, Nordin Amrabat, Atiba Hutchinson, Stijn Wuytens, Stef Nijland, Bouma, Funso Ojo, Zakaira Labyad, Jonathan Reis, Ospitaleri.
Nice one, cheers.

Today should give a good idea of what Hughton thinks our strongest first eleven is, and who is therefore likely to start the first game. Should be interesting.

He turned 28 earlier this year. Hardly a relic!

Interesting paragraph from this Uruguayan website about that Arevalo fella.
http://www.quenonino.com.uy/quenonino/tabid/37/idNoticia/25000/Pe%C3%B1arol/Default.aspx
"Last week, a group of Argentinian businessmen contacted Juan Pedro Damiani and requested authority to negotiate Arevalo to Newcastle in England. The Aurinegros (Gold & Blacks) President then passed on this request to the player's representatives."
Sounds good! Can I just commend you for all of the info you've been posting from the rumours abroad during the summer. I for one have certainly appreciated it.

During his spell in charge of Blackburn, Hughes' side was accused of being "over-physical" and "dirty" on multiple occasions and the club finished bottom of the Premier League disciplinary table in all four of Hughes' seasons in charge.
He did make some key signings at Blackburn, and some of these players did occassionally produce decent stuff, however, the over riding style of football was definitely bullying and bashing. We'll see what happens at Fulham. They currently do not have the players who are going to put in the kind of 'committment' he will be after. Let's see what he pulls off, and which players he gets in.

Mark Hughes is not a bad manager, what exactly do you have against him?
Mark Hughes is uninspiring. Just another get stuck in and bully them nitwit manager. That Fulham team isn't built like that at all either. Watch him try to bring in a few brutes with any money he has. Sven would have been far better placed to continue building on the type of football Hodgson had implemented. Hughes will take them back to the dark ages.
I know you're pretty thick, but that's mental. Ever see Blackburn under Hughes? Not always the prettiest but the best football they've played for a long, long time by the time he left and he got them top six with f*** all money. Not seen many managers have a better transfer record under a similar budget than he did there, really brought in the brutes like Bentley, Warnock, McCarthy, Bellamy, Dunn, Santa Cruz etc.
Who are you calling thick?
This thread isn't going anywhere and I will be proved right. You watch and see what the Fulham fans think of his 'progressive' football. Hughes is going to bomb at Fulham. He is nowhere near the quality of manager that Sven is. It's embarrassing to even make the comparison.

Kevin Prince-Boateng would be great, especially for £5 million.
Thought he had a fantastic world cup.
I think he would be a great signing and be the one player who could give us real energy in the middle of the park. I worry about his temprement but i think he would be in an environment that would help him.
If im honest, i dont really see a lot of difference between him and Parker, probably Parker likes a tackle a bit more but there both high energy with decent quality. If i was old saggy face i would give him a shot and save my money!
Tottenham don't own him anymore!

I think KPB showed some character during the WC, people do change you know, grow up etc.
Even if he had changed I wouldn't want him here. He's a kind of "bad boy" who wouldn't fit in the team imo. I think Hughton is clever enough to see that as well (if we were ever interested in him)
Aren't you one of those that said you'd have Bellamy back though?!

How anyone can go for Taylor over Colo is beyond me. Taylor, like Simpson, is from the school of backing of defenders who are running at him, and just allows them to run all the way into the box! One of my biggest annoyances, and for that reason alone Colo everytime.
Joey Barton marches into Spain and takes control of the Teresa Herrera Trophy

Yeah ... but he just seems to be in such a state physically. Really can't afford him having another long injury layoff.
