  1. We've got two decent players and still made a profit.

    :kinnear:

Got a feeling there'll be quite a bit of whinging about net spend after this window as well

    Definitely.

    It is good business though.

We've essentially swapped a bad apple in N'Zogbia for Nolan and Taylor.

  2. One more midfielder before 5pm and I'll not have to watch Nicky Butt on Sunday.

he`s been confirmed captain for sunday

I am now 100% certain that there will be no more central midfielders brought in before the deadline. All the public transfer targets have proven to be s****, the ones we were really after have arrived without a word. All this crap about Veloso and M'bia is hot air to keep everyone interested.

You keep saying the same thing and it's not getting anymore interesting robot man.

    Now zip it.

Another midfielder will be joining so stop trying to convince yourself otherwise.

Feel free to say I told you so if it happens.

Oh you bet I will!  :pow:

Nolan is Barton's replacement trust me.

    Barton's done at Newcastle.

A holding midfielder will be coming in as well.

  4. He looks genuinely delighted and won't it be great to have such fresh optimism in our dressing room, where everyone is feeling sorry for themselves and not appreciating that they still play for a pretty freakin' great club.

I pretty much think this is the end for Barton too. Ashley has been itching to get rid since his fracas. He will be gone in the summer. Probabaly a sneaky agreement in place for him to go to Bolton and everything. I'm sure they were after him earlier in the window.

f***ing hope not, him and Nolan in the middle looks good any way you look at it!!

There'll be another midfielder coming in to partner Nolan.

That will be the final dagger for Joey and his delicate tootsies on Tyneside pal.

    Deal with it!

  6. Now for Ryan Taylor and Veloso and i would be chuffed after the gloom after the city match

Strike Veloso out of the equation and replace with Ebondo and that will be our transfer business in this window I reckon.

    I seriously doubt that pal.

Quit being so sure of your negative self.

We'll get another midfielder in as well as a left back and a striker to go with the right back.

    Wanna bet?

  7. Lovenkrands - Forward/winger

    Donadel - Defensive Midfielder

Nolan - Box to box midfielder

Taylor - Utility (about 3-4 postions)

Would people be satisfied with this window if all this came off? Think it would be pretty succesful myself considering in its January, obviously I would have preferred Fabregas, Anelka, Yaya Toure and Evra but I would settle till the summer.

Would be decent but we are also loosing a good left winger and not replacing him and a goalkeeper.

s*** are we selling Jonas?  :frantic:  Oh no you mean Insomnia?..  ???  Also Given doesn't need replacing IMO.

Like him or not, Zog is better than Duff and if he leaves ideally we'd need to replace him.

    Lovenkrands essentially replaces Zoggy.

    Those four would be great.

An extra striker with some pace and power would be a bonus.

Would be great to have Butt as a backup finally. Donadel and Nolan in midfield would bring a tear to my eye it would be such a relief. Just for the mere fact Butt will be warming the bench.

  8. He wouldnt improve our us that much. He'd add a bit of depth to the squad I guess but once Beye's back then Taylor's oot.

And I think he'd be alright with that. He can also play on the right side of midfield so no more slo mo Geremo when Jonas needs a break.

    Good option to have.

  9. I hope we don't sell him btw and he rots.

    We can't afford that.

Agreed. If anything we have to make sure he is moved out so that the money and his wages can be put towards someone else.

    Swap with Lyon for Fred.

    Swap with Tottenham for Bent.

Either would be good moves as we could do with another goalscorer.

Nobody in England will touch him now. Maybe Robinho.

    harsh on Robinho.

Harry does see himself as some sort of super duper man manager and inspirational genius and they still haven't got someone to play on the left. I reckon he might do it.

Harry's pissed off Bent and Joe's pissed of Zoggy (allegedly ) , time for a switch up.

Both player's values are only plumetting with each passing day.

  10. Bolton boss Gary Megson has admitted their chances of signing Sporting Lisbon star Miguel Veloso are receding.

Megson had targeted an ambitious move for the Portuguese international after opening talks with Sporting over a possible deal.

Bolton are struggling to agree a fee with Sporting for the highly-rated midfielder and Megson insists the club will not be held to ransom.

"If we can bring him in, great, if not we need to move on sooner rather than later," said Megson

"We need to make sure we're not on a fool's errand. They've made it clear what kind of money they want, and we won't pay that.

"If that's a stalemate, then we will move on."

Seems like he is taking the piss out of the Bolton fans.

Has said this about Barton, Bullard, Morrison and now Veloso.

  11. For comedy value it'd be amazing if we signed Nolan on the 'gentlemans agreement' that we stand aside so that they can get Veloso. The deal goes through and the next day when Megson is on the plane flying over to Portugal he looks out of the window to see a crassly decorated Sports Direct jet with Mike Ashley winking at him out of the window, big fat cigar in his sausage fingers and his other arm around Veloso.
