Sky just said that ASM is a better player but Barnes gets more goals and more assists. Okay.
Better dribbler they said.

Miggy was very good today I thought and deserves a mention. His passing and involvement in a lot of our build up was really good.
Such a shame he couldn't finish that move he started with a final ball across to Isak.
But, really good showing.

Trippier literally won the La Liga under Simeone and you're saying he's not a good defender.
Just seems a bit harsh that's all.
I'll explain myself in this just once.
This is the Premier League. It's more open and it's a lot faster.
He's also getting in a bit now, and has a lot of responsibility in the team going forward. And so he does get exposed defensively as he is not the quickest or strongest.
Almiron and Longstaff were key in supporting him defensively last season. Tonali will need to do a bit more of that too with him coming in on that side.
I'm really glad we bought Livramento too because he will help keep Trippier fresher as he played way too much last season.
We need to protect him as a team and also with some rotation too.

That's so bollocks, he's a great defender.
Not going to spend a second discussing this. Not one.

Best manager in the league.

So deceptively strong. Sent Ming's flying in that 50-50, which he unfortunately got injured from.
Also did so well to hold off Konsa who is very strong on his second goal, the sensational chip.
-
Causes chaos when he cuts in from the left.
An absolute firecracker of a player due to his energetic style, which can really lift the crowd and team mates.
That track back to stop Diaby being through on goal on his strong foot was massive.
Guy is a real asset. A real headache to deal with.

Good grief that midfield three. Thought Bruno was sloppy n'all but still, fuck me what a unit.
Sensational second half. Hilarious that Villa are getting tipped to topple us. Thanks for the points and the early momentum, lads.
Such a tough midfield man, with so much character and quality. Unreal.

Where have all the people gone who said Tonali wasn't good enough, Italians don't suit the premier league ?
Hanging out with the people that said we wasted £40 million on a shit Anthony Gordon.

Harvey Barnes scores goals!
Another great run in behind!

Still love Bruno.
Always! Good to know we can perform like this in a game where he's not that great.

They fell apart the moment Tielemans came on the pitch.
Noticed this too! Struggling with the pace of the game.

Shoot Barnes ffs
He wanted to but couldn't bring himself to do it with how open Callum was
Love the runs Barnes makes in behind though. My goodness!

What a goal.
Tonali with a gorgeous first time ball to Barnes who made a lovely run in behind, gets his head up and delivers the final ball to Callum.
My God this is absolutely delightful. New signings showing out.
-
Bruno has had a stinker. Needs to move the ball quicker against athletic sides like this.

Think Tonali will be better at sitting. He’s stronger and faster than Bruno in the transition.
I think we've ultimately opted for our more energetic midfielders on the outside to help cover our full backs, as they are slower and so quite vulnerable.

Watkins disintegrated Botman's ankles just then.
Lawd have mercy ...

Would love to give Emery a hammering the cheeky git.

This man is too smooth. This is his season!
God please let him stay fit throughout.

Good bit of play. Shame Miggy’s ball in was too strong
Don't understand why he lifted it too. Just play that across on the ground for Isak to slot home.
-
Such a simple ball across for Miggy to make man. That was a bad final ball.

I think we have been better than Villa, they have resorted to a lot of punts over the top.
We need to keep it tight and maintain the press, their defence is suffering tryi g to bring the ball out.
Yeah, think we've been better on the whole but they are defending well at the final moments and they have major threats on the counter.

That's okay if you feel different.
Probably came across harshly as it was during the heat of the match.
Trippier adds a ton of value to the team and is a great leader, I do worry about him defensively though, especially against dynamic players like we faced today in Villas wide areas, with the right support though I think he'll be fine.
