Man United don't have anyone that can dictate play from central midfield to link their defence and attack.
Looks very disjointed.
-
Strong debut for Wolves from Lemina so far.
-
Wolves are playing some decent ball man.
Kudos to Gary O'Neill.
-
Casemiro looks old. Legs gone already?
Everyone running by him in midfield.

I think there's certainly a lot of talent in their team but whether or not they can get the most out of it is another story.
Matheus Nunes came with a huge reputation, needs to show it this season
Yeah, for sure. Will be interesting to see how they get on.

As Kaka said, despite an awful summer Wolves' team doesn't look that bad I don't think. They'll be lower half but I don't think they'll get relegated
Their midfield is really decent still.
And the front three has a lot of pace and trickery.
Also got that big striker off the bench for a different look.
I also quite like Gary O'Neil. Really surprising how good Bournemouth looked under him last season.

That Wolves team has some really decent players in it still.
This might be a tricky game for Man United.
-
Just remembered Leicester have that young left back that looked very promising too, Luke Thomas, wonder if he's been considered as well.
-
They recently self reported some dodgy spending under Abramovich, so that was already being looked at as it is.
Liverpool crying about things is so incredibly funny though. Instead of focusing on getting their team together they are busy squabbling over players lost to Chelsea, like there is no one else out there.
I hope Liverpool don't manage to get anyone else in. That would have them in some trouble because that team looked seriously unbalanced.

Love Liverpool and Chelsea getting into a public fight about FFP and over spending and embarrassing themselves.
While we quietly continue to go about our business sticking to FFP and nailing our signings better than they both have despite the restrictions.
Absolutely delicious.

Price was 50m last week
Before Chelsea got involved, yes.

Looks like Southampton did the smart thing and upped the price
Will be interesting to see how Liverpool get on, they’ve sold off a lot of experience and leadership in one go and it might backfire.
I don't even think they upped the price.
Chelsea and Liverpool are raising the price by trying to outbid each other.
Was the same with Caicedo. Brighton wouldnt allow either to match the others bid, had to bid higher than the other clubs accepted offer.

If we get a right side centre back, do we look to move Lascelles on? Would make him 3rd choice in that slot.

I reckon Cucarella would be class for us tbh, he's more in the Trippier mould and with Livramento on the other side we'd have a pretty varied selection of fullbacks. He seems a bit underrated defensively, and wouldn't have an issue dropping into a back three in possession if we go that route.
It's astonishing how quickly people have forgotten his season at Brighton.
The guy was superb. Absolutely relentless getting up and down the pitch on that left side, and so good in possession as his passing is great.
Defensively he struggled in a Chelsea side that was a complete mess. We are far better organised defensively and he'll have Joelinton supporting him on that side too.
Think getting either of Tierney or Cucurella on an initial loan would be incredible business.

Aye. He seems to fall out with managers / clubs a lot.
He always scores goals though.
He used to get compared to Kane and he’s clearly a level or two below that. But if he knuckled down at a PL club for the next 4 years he would be close to 200 PL goals. But he seems to find issues.
Yeah, it's unfortunate. Such a waste of talent.
That first stint at Inter under Conte of all people who he really got on with, the partnership with Lautaro was class.
Carried them to a title and was footballer of the year over there.

Liverpool (& Chelsea) will have defensive midfielders by the time Newcastle play them. One will have Caicedo and the other Lavia.
Getting entire new midfields to gel will take time though
Both are off to Chelsea apparently. Liverpool have to scramble for someone else.

It’ll be interesting to see where he ends up.I really thought Poch would give it a try with him because he's quite a good man manager and I thought he could have got him engaged again.
Now with all the fuss in Italy with Inter and Juve it's just a complete mess.
He has a massive Saudi offer on the table still. He might just get fed up and go there.

Lukaku has almost 400 goals in his career. Scored 15+ in PL and Serie A goals in 7 seasons. ‘Not very good’. In the right setup he’s a very good player.
People talk about Lukaku like he's Shola Ameobi man. It's unbelievable.

The idea that either of these two are suddenly going to become brilliant is silly.
Would be particularly concerned about Szoboszlai and Mac Allister, who were both very poor.
Yeah, they've got a fair bit of work to do. They both looked dodgy at various points.
-
Man ... can't get over that chance for Mudryk to win it at the end one on one and he bottled it and didn't even get a shot off. I'd be fuming if I was Poch.
-
Nice. Let them both start with a point.
Was not impressed by these two at this stage. Chelsea in particular have spent so much but still oddly seem quite short in key areas.
-
My goodness Mudryk is so dumb. Just take the shot first time. Tried to go round the keeper, why?!
-
I thought Ugochukwu had gone off to Strasbourg.

Hope this backfires on Klopp and they lose this

Ah, yes. Lemina joined in January. My mistake.
