Well, good to see the standard of refereeing has improved.

Need to assert ourselves more in the middle. Surrendering possession way too much.
They're targeting Bruno and shutting him down. Making it hard for him to influence things. They've done well with that.

Bruno man ...
-
Such a tough game man.
Just need to try and seal the three points.
Emery has Villa setup well and their speed out wide isn't great for our slower full backs.
-
These pressing traps are a thing of beauty.

Ok…I should’ve quantified it with our club status- those are top club players and where we want to be. We’re fortunate to have a FB of Trippiers ability, and if he’s lacking in his defending, I think it can be overlooked occasionally for what else he brings.
Yeah, I think the combination of Almiron and Longstaff helped cover him really well last season.
I'm sure Tonali will eventually do the same a bit more too, because we'll need that from him on that side.

Feel like he half anticipated a whistle for the injury.
Yeah, maybe.

shame for him.
Very awkward fall. In trying to keep his balance seemed to jerk his knee quite badly.

Why’s Isak doing step overs there
Yeah that was unnecessary missed a great run from Joelinton because of it, unfortunately.

And yet still seen as one of our best players. Name a full back who’s equally good at attacking and defending? It’s highly unlikely you get both, hence why people get exasperated at Burn because he’s been trained as a CB and not a marauding FB.
Tierney, Estupinan, Reece James, Andy Robertson ... just off the top of my head.
But anyway, I think it's tough for Trippier because he's getting older now and he has a lot of responsibility getting forward and influencing the attacking play.
I think the Livramento deal was really important. Will need to manage Trippier's minutes.

Tonali has been class so far. So incisive.
Lovely whipped ball in for the second.

Alexander the great!!!
Can we please defend now.

And yet people are forever clamouring for a more attacking Trippier ‘type’ on the left.
You can be an attacking full back and still defend.
Trippier was too busy putting his hands behind his back instead of closing down the cross. Does it all the time.
-
I'll say it again ... Trippier is a poor defender.
Doesn't close down the cross quickly enough.
-
Look at the defensive tracking by Gordon.
Anyone else and Diaby is in for a clear shot.
-
What a start and what a ball with the left foot by shitty Anthony Gordon eh?
What a waste of £40 million on the rat face.

Adingra just scored. He's the next Brighton wonderkid.
Saw him terrorising for Brighton in pre season in the Prem matches in the US.

Three Arsenal staff in the technical area. Fuck off man!
I really hope it continues and they just scrap the rule because I don't like it.
Think we benefit a lot from having Tindall in there with Eddie and they are always consulting on stuff. We need to have that.
-
It's so hard to take Arsenal seriously because although they have all the talent in the world they just can't seemingly see games out peacefully a lot of the time.
If Forest go for it a bit sooner they probably get a draw.

Always liked him for Man Utd in the bits I saw.
Yeah, me too. Was thinking of the Swedish link up with him and Isak, but then Froggy rubbished him.

Awoniyi is a proper handful as well, plus the other two forwards.
Awoniyi is the striker West Ham should have signed last summer instead of Scammacca. Was sure he was going to end up there, but they blew it.

Think @Froggy was his main critic
Ah, yes! I think you're right.
I think I was going to ask him at the time if he would be a good pickup for us, but before I could he posted ridiculing the guy

Forest looked like scoring for ages there.
Think Elanga will be a really good signing for them.
Was super cheap too right?
Think a few laughed off the signing for them on here, but he looked decent when he first came through at Man United.
Very direct and pacy.

Classic Arsenal this. Just so utterly pathetic

Villa are good man.
We're going to have to work hard for the result.
Botman getting a yellow there was really bloody stupid too. Just get the hell off the pitch. Not happy at all with him having to manage that in the second half now.
