Based on what I've seen and his record in a league that has a reputation for weak defending, around 30-35m.

Yeah, I was speculating about this in the transfer thread yesterday.

I remember the Athletic saying we had been looking at Nunez, Isak, Scammacca. DCL etc. to come in and be the lead striker, but then switched to younger prospects like Ekitike as backups after how good Wilson looked to end the season.

Once that injury news broke yesterday and we hadn't yet secured a younger striker, I did wonder if we'd again look at a more first team ready striker.

The beauty of Isak though, is that he can start as that right side forward when Wilson is available.

It's an exceptionally good signing.

If you're anxious and annoyed about transfer progress and you're scared to watch compilation videos of possible signings or you don't want to hear about these players and how good they might be because you're scared they won't end up signing then you probably shouldn't come into the thread.

Exactly. It's quite straightforward.

Not to mention it had already been mentioned a day or two before that Rennes were holding off on our interest and trying to tie him down to a new deal.

It's really alarming how rattled people get about transfers man.

If someone says something is done they never want to believe it and start getting nervous about it not panning out.

But if it's bad news oh how they embrace it and start on about the owners not knowing how to bid or some other nonsense.
