Paid more attention to him yesterday than I normally would.
Can definitely see the attributes he possesses that Howe would like. His physicality is really good and he’s a fairly strong ball carrier.
As has been pointed out elsewhere, they did get completely overrun in midfield but I thought he was the best of a bad bunch.
So I could see him fitting into our squad quite nicely, but once the price starts going upwards of £20m/£25m, you’d have to start questioning whether those kind of resources would be better spent elsewhere.
I thought Willock's interview post match was very telling, when he talked about Howe building an athletic dynamic side and him wanting the number eights to get into the box in support of the striker. I think this looks especially dangerous now with Isak dropping into space, keeping possession and linking play, which allows the eights to get forward.
I think if McTominay comes in, it ill be as another eight that bombs up and down the pitch in that manner, with and without the ball, and gets in the box like he did in the two Scotland games. We have also been linked with Khephrem Thuram, who I watched over the weekend again for Nice, and he is another that has this type of game, although he is more technical and cute with his passing. Kouadio Kone is another we've been linked with that is similar, as is Connor Gallagher.
I like the setup. Think I'd lean more to that approach, and keep Bruno as the deeper playmaker that can also pick his moments to get forward, like he did on the first goal when Isak found him with the pass that opened things up.

He's helped evolve the way we play with the number eights running off him.
Makes the 4-3-3 we are playing so much more dangerous going forward.
Him dropping into space to receive the ball, maintain possession and link play before then getting into the box with the number eights who have gone forward off him when he dropped, is absolutely vital.
We need another younger striker with similar traits that can rotate with him going forward. Probably be Joao Pedro.

Think spending £50 million on a left back would be such a waste with how much still needs adding to this squad.

This Chelsea thing is incredible ... they have spent £600 million on players and so far Enzo and Badiashile look good, and not even necessarily outstanding.
The most exciting of the signings has probably been Felix but he's only on loan. Genuinely struggling to understand how they did such a poor job with that £600 million.
It's absolutely delightful all of this. The pressure to now get the next manager appointment right is immense. And it's looking like it will be a very tough decision, as I don't see any guarantees out there, especially with how messy things are at the club.

Potter to Leicester.
Rodgers to Spurs.
Nagelsmann to Chelsea.

West Hama are such a rotten watch. Unacceptable considering the players they have.

Rodgers to Spurs?

This atmosphere at West Ham is so toxic

Saw an interview with McGinn before today's game and when asked to summarise Emery's approach he said "detailed".
Feels like a Bruce to Howe move they've made, PFM dosser giving them a slap on the back and telling them to get amongst it to someone with a detailed, coherent tactical plan.
Listen to this genius from 6:20 till the end ...

Imagine signing a ton of players on extortionate contracts for 8 years when you already have a massively inflated squad. Boehly has come in with his cock out doing the helicopter and the league has just chainsawed it clean off
You could tell he thought he was so smart too. I need the camera panning to him in the stands more often, to see his dumb face everytime they concede.

I did forget. Christ. What's the appeal for these players man...I get they're in London which is attractive and probably pay massive wages but what an embarrassing shit show of a club. If Potter is still there next year, he'll continue to rotate and make a mess of things. An elite player really should think twice before signing for these horrible pricks.
There was an article in one of the papers this morning saying they have been struggling to sign youth players now, as they no longer want to go there, as they don't think they'll ever get a chance to break through.

Staggering how Chelsea can spend so much and be in the bottom half of the table. Unbelievably embarrassing for all concerned.
It's so satisfying to see it not come off for them man. They are a disgrace.

Haven’t seen the chance he just missed, then?
Lukaku will have his moments of horror for sure, but he will ultimately score goals if he's in the team.

Nailed on they try all summer to sign Osimhen, most obvious signing they could make.
Yeah, I see that happening.
Lukaku is also coming back too, and he would definitely score goals in this team.

Chelsea have definitely improved as the match ahs gone on, dominating the stats.. Looks like they have a goal disallowed here. Still 0-1.
Looks like they'll never score.

Wonder what the odds are on Nagelsmann to Chelsea ...

Not surprised he’s been made available if he’s on £200k a week
Yeah, was disappointed when his salary was brought up, as I had no idea he was on that much already. Likely rules him out.

Reports in Italy that Marcus Thuram has turned down Inter, who were supposedly our biggest competition for him according to previous articles.

Wew ... you lot that wish death on others are brave man.

Isn’t he on something like 200k? And has a contract until 2027, would be huge money all round. Talented player but I think that link is just another random link.
My God ... didn't realise they had given him that kind of contract already. That is mental.

Linked to Ansu Fati who Jorge Mendes is trying to get out of Barca.
Ansu Fati's dad is fed up with his situation there and has not been impressed with Xavi's handling of him.

Any player we are strongly linked too, he has a hard-on for.
He's at least 30 years old. Maybe 40. Perhaps even 50.
Yes, of course this is the extent of your mental aptitude.
Me simply recognising what a player might add to the team, and not calling every player that is not first rate, a shit player, and moaning and bitching about how Howe can't make good signings, is me having a hard on for them.
You are painfully clueless man.

They have no shame man
Hope Brighton charge them £50 million this time around, if they go for him.
