Campo, Hierro, Okocha, Djorkaeff and Anelka. Were they all there at the same time?

Sam Allardyce is utterly revolting, but Okocha at Bolton was absolutely fantastic for me. Loved that so much.

Also really enjoyed Kanu at Portsmouth too from a Super Eagles point of view.

As long as we're entertaining though. We'd take some 0-7 losses as long as the neutrals find it fun, right?

How long has this patronising idea been pushed for now regarding Newcastle supporters?

No surprise that the current manager uses it as a means to justify his rotten record, as if it is an actual remit that is acceptable to supporters.

  3. Yup, as soon as we came out of the bottom three by virtue of a 90+ min goal by Antonio against Leeds, which gave them a worse goal difference, I knew we'd start hearing that kind of nonsense Edwards just posted.

We have not taken advantage of pretty decent fixtures. The storm will soon come and it's going to get ugly.

All the hindsight saying spurs should have sold Kane and rebuilt squad probably do ignore that likely all purchases would be hyper inflated and wouldn't have been so easy. Still Spurs are just naff. Lost all their dynamism when Erickson left and in decline since all it takes is for son or kane to be out of form and what is there?

I thought at the time they should have moved him on. The highest bid was £130 million I believe. Get in three players around the £45 million mark and freshen up the team.

Dele Alli proving every week why Mourinho was right to bin him off.

Mad how his career has never taken off as it could have. Another massive waste of talent.

Edit - will probably show me up now.

The real culprit in that midfield has been Ndombele. He's been shocking.

Dele was in the team when they beat Man City at the start of the season, but had decent protection with both Hojberg and Skipp in there with him.

Playing both Dele and Ndombele is asking for trouble though. Have to pick one of the two if you're going to use them.

  6. That back pass to ASM, I cannot believe he doesn't loop the keeper initially, and then when he runs at him I was shocked he didn't just look to make space and shoot as soon as possible and then not just that he keeps on running towards the keeper and then does a bloody step over

ASM is class, but that was the silliest thing I've seen in a while. Only for him to then play a poor ball that was behind Longstaff who then awkwardly skied the ball over. Terrible phase of play.

  7. The extent of Ashley's interest this weekend will be that we are out of the bottom three. Has probably already called Bruce to congratulate him.

He's not paying enough attention to our performances to recognise how much trouble we are in. If he does ever notice it will be when it is far too late to reverse our fortunes.

I was at the game today (supporting Watford) but a couple of observations. I admit that we were shocking , probably our worst performance of the season which isn’t saying much. The ref was absolutely horrendous for both sides. It reached a nadir when having ruled out our goal he then pointed to the centre circle! For what it’s worth the most puzzling aspect of today was despite being on top once you had scored the time wasting went into overdrive, the highlight being when Matty Longstaff (who had a good game) suddenly , with nobody within several yards of him threw himself to the ground clutching his face. If you had continued as before you would have won easily. After we equalised the time wasting stopped and you could have won several times over. Just bizarre tactics. My wife’s family are from Newcastle and I hope that we both stay up but it does look unlikely!

I think you'll at least have a decent chance of staying up. You've had a pretty solid start and your club will make a change in management and/or will be bring in new players in January as needed if you are struggling.

No chance of that for us though. We're already pretty much done I think.

He was their assistant for ages

Just had a look. He was their asssistant like you said, and before that was at Brondby for three years.

I mean can you even imagine ... goodness knows how many younger managers with good ideas are out there. With the right contacts in the game and some proper vetting it shouldn't be hard to find someone better than Bruce for goodness sake.

And a younger manager like that would be more open to working under Ashley's tighter constraints. Sickening to see it play out so well for other clubs, while we listen to the clown in charge talk rubbish every week and make excuses.

  10. Now people will say if Bruce leaves who will we get in to replace him.

But can anyone tell me where on earth this Brentford manager was plucked from?!

With just some bloody effort I'm sure there are talents out there that can be found. So annoying man. This club is just the worst.

I legit think they are better than a lot of teams in this league

They are fantastic. They don't even splash the cash like that. Just brilliantly run.

If anything they've been a selling club, with the likes of Watkins and Benrahma having been moved on in recent times.
