Thought that young lad for Everton, Gordon was really promising. Worked his nuts off.

Yeah, he gave a really solid performance.

Huge game for him at Old Trafford and performed really well. Sure the manager's instructions were really helpful.

Ronaldo is such a whiney little bitch. Stomping off like a fucking child. Prick.

I said to a good friend of mine as soon as he came back that he will ultimately be the one that gets Ole the sack. He's too big a player for Ole to manage. Expecting Conte to be at the club by the end of the January window.

  3. Seeing what Rafa is getting out of Gray, Townsend and Doucoure already, and it just reminds me of how good the likes of Longstaff, Schar, LeJeune were under him.

Under Bruce none of those three fetch you more than £5 million now. Meanwhile Gray, Townsend and Doucoure's values have already all shot up significantly.

Sancho was our best player aside from De Gea I thought. I was raging when he took him off, but all his subs were great and all contributed massively. I wish the rest of the squad (Bruno aside) had even 10% of Cavani's workrate.

Ole's subs were really good, agreed.

I think at the moment he's trying to fit all your best players in together and it's not quite working, or he hasn't quite figured out the right combination.

The main issue is Pogba, who I think has to play in that free role on the left. Every time he is played in central areas, you look vulnerable through the middle of the pitch on counter attacks.

I really wish we'd signed Choudury and Jones so that, when we were in the exact same position despite him being backed to such a reasonable extent, he wouldn't have that excuse to fall back on.

What occurred over this summer passed, including the statement that was released, was unquestionably no way to work cooperatively with your manager. However, it's an irrelevance when you consider what little effect on the pitch a couple more players would have had, and it wasn't as if he wasn't backed. And, above all, of course there's that elephant in the room regarding his grateful acceptance of Ashleyism. It's what got him the job in the first place and he has no right complaining about his working conditions to the same extent someone like Rafa did.

    Fuck him.

I don't think he deserved any signings this summer to be honest.

He's absolutely tanked the value of all of the players he has inherited and none of the signings he was allowed to bring in last summer have panned out, barring Callum Wilson, who ultimately won't work out under Bruce anyway because he has to be managed smartly due to his injury history and Bruce is the absolute worst for that.

In a way it's actually working out that fans are still going to the games because they can voice they're disgust at the rubbish being served up, and it's what he deserves. He's extremely fortunate that last season no fans were present. The guy is a clown.

Long way to go. We did struggle badly against "weaker" teams last year so it's encouraging we're winning those games, but that's the thing, we've played barely anyone so far. And arguably our toughest game, away to Villa, we delivered what can only be described as a harrowingly bad performance.

Think the 13pts from 6 games does gloss over some major issues we still have which better teams will expose (e.g. we are still terribly slow starters, can look half asleep for large periods of games), but obviously can't knock it so far.

To be fair both DCL and Richarlison were out for that Villa game.

Like others have said the more time with Rafa the better the team will become, so the fact you've started so well, even with your two best players missing some time already, that is a very good sign.

Mind, no way Vieira would have got the likes of Gallagher and Edouard if he had come here.

His signings would have been exactly the sort our owner typically prefers.

Pretty certain MA would have rather got in Edouard rather than Callum Wilson, from a future value standpoint.

And Gallacher is a loan not too dissimilar to the Willock loan we did last season.

Marc Guehi looks like he will prove to be a really good signing and is just 21 years old, so again the future value comes into play there.

Michael Olise from reading is another young talent he got in at just 19 years old.

Joachim Andersen is just 25 too and looks great value at around 15 million.

These are the types of signings that would have fit in with what Ashley claims he wants to do.

It must be a fluke cos the best managers take at least two seasons to get the formation and team play sorted

It's unbelievable man. Don't understand how he gets away with it

And of course an added irritation being that Vieira is yet another manager we were strongly linked with that we didn't manage to get in the end.

  9. Vieira has already got Palace controlling the game so much better and looking far more dangerous going forward.

That Palace job was not an easy one to step into either with the amount of turnover in players over the summer. Pretty impressive.

Man I loved Okocha, such a fun player to watch. Could just do something insane out of nowhere

I wish football coverage was what it is today back when both he and Ronaldinho were at PSG.

Can't imagine how much fun a young Okocha and Ronaldinho playing together must have been like.

There's a strong argument to be made that we are currently one of the best teams in the world.

 fair play man. Rafa is awesome, and with continued support from the owner things will only get better.

My favourite thing so far is how he's properly unlocked Doucore as a box to box midfielder that is scoring goals consistently. He looks sensational so far this season.

Enough has been said about Townsend and Gray already really, as that was just a piss take. Almost every single game those two are racking up goals and assists it seems.
