Anyone been checking the forums of the other teams to see how this has gone down? I have..... and, apart from the peasants down the road, it's definitely Liverpool fans that are taking it the worst. The fuming is delicious. [emoji38]

    I particularly liked this one...

"This lot have always felt deserving of being at the top table. Even in the 70s (mad pitch invasions) and throughout  the first Kevin Keegan circus in the 80s with helicopters arriving in the middle of the park, they’ve always felt they were something that they weren’t. They were always “more passionate and better this and better that”.  Bollocks of course.
Of all the so-called “sleeping giants”, this one has always been a wankfest of a club. Wolves, Leeds,  or even Sunderland  have better credentials than this shower.
They’ve  rammed home the argument so much that they’re so passionate and loveable and this and that  that the press have bought into it and every man and his dog think that they “deserve” it. Well they don’t. And I’ll make a total U-turn on the way I felt only a few months back about the Super League. Anything to keep these nouveau riche arseholes out.
Hope the new signatories to the new Super league stipulate at least 2 European Cups won in 2 different decades. At least the red Mancs have got the credentials. That’s one place this lot, Chelsea and PSG can’t buy their way into."

When did sports become elitist. What the fuck is this shit man

What on earth are these people all in a huff about? About who deserves to be at the table? They really just want to watch their clubs win everything every season without any sort of competition or challenge? Where is the joy in that?

Yeah, I really hope more clubs come into money and the league really becomes as competitive as possible. These so called top clubs and the majority of their fans are completely delusional and out of their minds.

I’d personally go all In for Bisouma from Brighton. Knows the league, excellent footballer, great engine.

Really good energetic midfielder but I would imagine with a decent DOF we could find an equal or better midfielder without getting ripped off by Brighton who were asking for around £40 million. I know there is money now but that would not be a good idea to spend that sort of money on Bissouma. Brighton would benefit more from that IMO.

    Close friends with Rafa fwiw.

Think all the plans are already in place and have likely been ready to go with people earmarked for all the different positions. Will just need a different manager now as Rafa is at Everton.

As if how rich the owners are directly correlates with success on the pitch. If we do end up at the top it will be more about the plans put in place, and how any money was actually spent.

After all where did Mike Ashley rank in terms of wealth? Fat lot of use that was for the club.

If Bruce is allowed to continue until January it'll be a huge struggle for his replacement to get enough points to avoid relegation.  He's a woeful manager and is actively hindering the team.

We need shot of him as soon as possible to make sure that we're not still on single digits come the new year.

Didn't even register that bit in his post about Bruce staying. Heck NO!!!

That disaster of a guy would absolutely find a way to relegate us right after we finally get taken over.

Cant wait for the "Conte Out" campaign
Its much better than "Pardew Out"

Yeah, I can see the banners already "Cunte Out!!!"

What excited me the most about this takeover is the fact that NUFC now are the richest FC in the world. Hopefully with that status, NUFC cease to be selling club it used to be.

NUFC used to sell its star players, hot prospectful young players, and players that contribute the most for the club for money. And now that NUFC have more money that one could imagine, I hope NUFC could retain its players from other clubs. I hope, from now on when NUFC sold its players is because NUFC don't need them anymore.

    Hopefully...

I am open to anything to be honest as long as it is done in the right spirit, and there is ultimately a legit plan with the right people in place to carry it out.

Borussia Dortmund are technically a selling club, but they do it in a way that continuously allows them to bring in top tier young talents and still compete at the highest level. Having said that I doubt we will be a selling club even in that sense anymore.

People will hate this but I'm pretty comfortable with the idea of Bruce staying short-term until Jan or the end of season (provided we steer clear of danger). This is a hugely important appointment and one we need to get right - rather than just going for who is available right now. Personally, I think we'll end up with a coach who is focused on player/club development over the long term rather than a Conte-type appointment. I just don't think the model of the consortium involves spending the type of money that would make us Champions League contenders next season - sounds like this is a 5-10 year project. A name that I don't think has been mentioned so far that I think would be an interesting option is Roger Schmidt (PSV manager, formerly of Leverkusen and RB Salzburg).

Honestly, I just want to have a manager that is not a complete has been charlatan and have owners that are actually trying to bring in players to improve squad each window regardless of the status of these players, so I really couldn't be any happier right now.

 He'll be gone man, I'm convinced. Be shocked if he's still in a job by Monday.

Should string him along all week then sack him next Sunday at 16:29. Fuck him.

Seriously though, I think Staveley will be well aware of the fans feelings towards him and he now is literally the last remaining person representing the Ashley era (assuming Charnley has fucked off). He'll be gone.

I really hope so. Although I think they should actually let him manage till half time and then sack him then and leave him on 999 and a 1/2.

On the other hand if he did stay all game and the fans turned out en masse and jeered him all game on his "landmark" day, well that would be just fine too [emoji38]

Don't see the Gerrard thing at all tbh. Even if he was superb (and let's face it, we don't know that yet), he's nailed on to follow Klopp at Liverpool over the next few years.

    Great point.

Rough as fucking fuck at work today. What a night man. Incredible scenes everywhere.

That Spurs game is going to be special.

Yes, a marvellous celebration of Bruce's 1,000th game. A great achievement for the cabbage.

Received these messages from my spurs supporting brother in law.

"Some serious bribing has gone into all of this. It’s an absolute joke. The premier league has turned into fifa.

Gonna be good to see Newcastle getting behind the rainbow laces campaign promoting LGBT when your owners chemically castrate or publicly whip anyone for being gay.

I wonder how the Newcastle women’s team are feeling….women aren’t even allowed to attend a football match in Saudi Arabia.

Not to mention chopping up journalists ?‍♂️

At least that evil man who hands out zero hour contracts has gone though ?"

I didn't know he had that level of bitterness in him ? Makes me think of Cartman licking Scott Tenormans tears in South park ?

You should probably let him know they don't plan to introduce any of those practices at St. James' Park, and you cannot be held responsible for the practices of a country that live completely differently from the way you do and have for centuries, especially as you didn't ask them to buy your club, and can do nothing about it. Simple.

I was expecting to see plenty of virtue signalling by supporters of other clubs and boy did the bindippers deliver. RAWK is a hoot.

Everyone is happy to benefit from the money they pour into numerous products that they use everyday without a peep, but it's different if they do the same with a football club. Of course that is where the line must be drawn. These countries leaders are treated like royalty whenever they come over and are encouraged to invest in every area of the society we live in. But football? This is surely where it must end.

It's funny because from their point of view and according to their religious and cultural ideals they find the west to be grossly immoral themselves. And they cannot believe that western countries try to police them on any kind of morality. And from their point of view, and their long history of adhering to their ideals, why would they care about what western ideals are anyway? Especially, when these western countries are more than happy to engage with them, and often bow down to them, because of the money they have. It's a complete farce.

They were on the tougher side of the draw. Brazil were probably 3rd best after France and Belgium

Flop was a bit harsh, but that tournament was right there for them.

No team in particular really looked that impressive and they really should have won it. Same with the Euros really.

Wonder if we'd target these type of signings. Players not at the top clubs but still good quality

Exactly the kind of moves we should be making IMO. Great shout.

why did Belgium go for Martinez in the first place, he was hardly a top calibre manager when they hired him

Not really sure. The bigger concern is why they've stuck with him after he flopped in the world cup and then the euros. Very strange.

  17. Yeah, great game.

Belgium are such a disappointment though. They should never be losing to that French team from 2 goals up. Terrible stuff.

What a talented generation of players and they'll never win anything it seems.
