He was unbelievable last night. Man of the match IMO. That turn in midfield to lose the man that was on him before driving forward and threading a perfect through ball to Gordon was outrageous. His ability to thread a ball like that when it's on is so underrated. Unfortunately the player he finds often messes up the chance Glad he was out of the team for a bit and people have come to appreciate his value more. It's not always pretty with him, but the positives far outweigh the negatives when everything gets tallied up.

He's playing in a position the manager has said he's happy to play in despite people saying he couldn't play on the right for years now. He continues to get into goal scoring positions and finishes with both feet confidently regardless of what side he starts on, and has also whipped in some great crosses from the right side. Yet people continue to moan about him not playing on the left and want Gordon on the right, when Gordon doesn't feel as comfortable on that side. I'm happy for Barnes. Knowing he's going to be starting on the right side for the immediate future is giving him confidence and consistency and he'll only get better and better there.

Nice link up Ramsey and Elanga. Good they can come on in a game the team is comfortably ahead and play more freely.
-
Miley is too good man. Sees the pitch so well. Great vision and first time pass perfectly weighted.
-
Harvey keeps getting goals regardless of what side he starts on. Top man.
-
Unbelievable from Joelinton. Gordon too selfish.
-
Get in. Great pressing from Gordon and Wissa to lead to that.
-
So good from Bruno and Joelinton man.

Was Tino's understudy for the under 21s tournament. Always felt he'd get linked at some point. Wouldn't be surprised if we went for him at that fee. Very much a Howe player physically and athletically, but a bit raw still in some areas.

If the bid is right, let's go ahead and book his flight. Eddie has no idea how to get the best out of him at all. Tonali looks out of place and lost out there. Purely there just to run back and stop transitions at the minute, which is pretty sad really.

What happened to the first time layoffs? Why does he now try to hold onto the ball so long? I fear he's been told to do this. It is not working.
-
Looks so far off his typical dynamic self. Can't even remember what the knee injury was, but it was the first long term injury he'd suffered for years I think. Would be typical if it's ended up robbing him of some speed and mobility right after we bought him. Hopefully it's just a matter of him taking a bit longer to shake the rust off after the long layoff. So far, not so great.

Eddie can we try something different in midfield please. It's mid January and the midfield setup is still putting the team on the back foot to start games and it's still costing the team points.
-
Just play him in away games going forward till he settles in. Looked far more comfortable and certain of himself away from his home "support", which is pretty tragic really
-
Eddie continues to start games with the wrong team and it has cost us God knows how many points this season.
-
More intent already. Lets go.
-
Okay time to play some football.
-
Ah! JSL coming on to stick it to us. Of course.
-
The state of that Joelinton header.
-
Just take him off for Miley and get him right for PSV.
-
Really bored of Trippier too. Probably better suited to using him in slower European games. Not sure why he's started today.
-
Bet it does. Let's wait and see.
-
Meanwhile the midfield can't even get the ball to them.

Just need to keep things square till Tonali is hauled off. Will start playing once that happens, as has been the case this season.
