  1. http://www.true-faith.co.uk/match-preview-podcast-newcastle-united-v-birmingham-city-st-james-park-10dec16-ko-3pm/ I’ll start by admitting that true faith was once again invited by Newcastle United to spend time with Rafa Benitez on Wednesday afternoon. I was lucky enough for the second time this season to spend 3+ hours with the man talking football and Newcastle United. I have to thank you, the people who read, subscribe and listen to everything true faith produces for continuing to do so as it’s the platform you provide us which interests the club. Not that I’ve got a specific message for you from the club or Rafa. We know most of what Rafa is thinking as he speaks to the press regularly and speaks the truth. He’s delighted with how the season has gone. We’ve lost five games yet are top of the league, effectively seven points clear of third place. That will change this weekend as Leeds play Brighton at the Amex and one of them has to close the gap on us. Given the inconsistency of the chasing pack (for example Reading last weekend) I’d rather Leeds closed our automatic promotion gap than Brighton picked up points. Leeds will have a rocky month, a bad spell etc. Brighton are relentless and it’s testament to how well we’ve done this season that we remain above them in the league despite being the victims of disgraceful refereeing decisions in more than one game. A draw will do for me. Rafa is a pragmatist. People whose hysteria bemoan the number of defeats, or lack of this or that – it’s irrelevant to Rafa rafa24who just wants to get promoted. He wants to improve the football club. Improving the football club doesn’t mean breaking Reading’s points total or not losing games to keep people who don’t go to games happy (but are very angry on twitter). It means buying good young players who have the ability to get better as footballers while at the club, improving the academy so that we don’t just produce players that are fit for loans and then careers in the football league but can represent Newcastle United in the Premier League. Rafa had a coaching delegation over from Sevilla FC yesterday. Their academy has notably produced Alberto Moreno, Sergio Ramos, Alvaro Negredo, Jesus Navas and many, many more. That lot represented Sevilla with distinction before bringing in around £130m+ for their services. Rafa has the credibility and the pull to bring people like this in to help our club. The absolute aim is promotion. If we lose ten games and still win the league it doesn’t matter. The Blackburn game was disappointing but like most defeats, the manager learnt a lot about certain players in defeat than it’s possible to in victory. Making Newcastle United into one of the biggest clubs in the country again won’t take 6 months, or twelve or maybe even eighteen. If we continue to pull together in the right direction then it’s more than likely other clubs won’t. They’ll make bad appointments, sign bad players, make bad decisions. With Rafa at the helm we’ll make progress as a club and a first team and with hopefully transplant many of the clubs currently above us in the Premier League.

Rooney must still be grateful to him for help getting his big move to Man Utd!
  3. It is utterly tragic but all this clapping during minutes at matches is getting absolutely ridiculous! It's been picked up by the media now; http://www.itv.com/news/tyne-tees/update/2016-12-08/nufc-fans-unite-for-terminally-ill-bradley-lowery/
  4. I've hated them since their reaction to our 1-1 draw down there in 95-96 - the wankers celebrated drawing with us and ending our title hopes as if they had won the league!
  5. Ha ha ha! How bitter is this?! ""It was a move that angered Forest supporters, who thought the former Intertoto Cup winners were being given preferential treatment, given their impressive and illustrious history, having recently been relegated from the Premier League." http://m.nottinghampost.com/nottingham-forest-fans-mock-the-fa-for-overturning-newcastle-united-red-cards/story-29963628-detail/story.html#76FeHSPp1YgpxTAL.99
  6. Congrats mate! I think we came 3rd and won the 95-96 round (tie-breaker!)! Cracking night and Ritchie and Dummett were both spot on! Mathew Raisbeck came across really well an arl!
  7. Stone the ref to death and award us the three points and then justice will be served!
  8. Skybet enhanced - Barca, Man City, Arsenal - 9/2
  9. Just a reminder for anyone thinking of sorting out travel for Brentford and Brighton! Brentford is scheduled for Monday 16th January but if either Birmingham vs NUFC or Brentford vs Halifax / Eastleigh draw in the FA Cup 3rd Round then the Brentford match will be moved back to Saturday 14th January 3pm. Brighton is scheduled for Saturday 28th January but if either NUFC or Brighton progress to the FA Cup 4th round then it will be rearranged as that is FA Cup 4th round weekend. So travelling fans basically only have a week to finalise Brentford and possibly 10 days to finalise Brighton when train / plane prices will be ridiculous! A complete an utter cluster-fuck by the F.A and Sky!
  10. Mario Balotelli's bizarre and brilliant Liverpool contract clause revealed http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/mario-balotellis-bizarre-brilliant-liverpool-9395566#ICID=ios_mirrorfootball_AppShare_Click_Other

  14. El Clasico is live on Sky channel 872!
  15. This is what he does! Expect a few wins and his mates in the media to come out and state how his real class is showing and how they are out of their bad run......the run that has lasted all year!
  16. Yep, a win for the wanker today nailed-on sadly!
  17. If anyone knows the phantom whistle-blower (Scud's mate I think?) then please tell the lid to stop doing it! Utterly pathetic!
