He’s not Pirlo, Gattuso, De Rossi, Lavia, Longstaff. He’s Tonali and more importantly he’s ours.

He was a starting midfielder in a team that won a league title at 21, at 23 he was consistent selection in a midfield that got to the semi finals of the CL. The fact that he’s not seen as the finished article or complete package yet is a positive, if he can achieve all that at 23 when he still has plenty of time to improve the sky’s the limit. We know how good our head coach and his team are with talented and willing players. Let’s rock and roll.

Bruno, Burn and Gordon all picked him as their unsung hero. Clearly a good presence at the training ground!

Because they don’t get anything off the club/players but they need to make people feel like they have some inside line on something, otherwise what is the point in them?

Great post. Our manager has shown his ability to improve pretty much any player he’s given, esp those already suited to the style. Similar to Botman he’ll come for the money but then see that the quality of the coaching is incredibly high.
