  1. He just needs to be reminded to hoof it. He exercised very poor judgement in trying to go shoulder-to-shoulder with Elmander.
  2. That's what PMs are for, but I agree with most of what JH has said. There's certainly a prevailing attitude on here that attaches huge significance to 1-0 wins, but sticks it head firmly in the wet sand of low expectations when we perform terribly and lose.
  3. Another misrepresentation of what I said. I was referring to a selection of results, not all of them. A few of our results are very misleading. Being objective about it, and to give an example; you know teams like Blackburn will climb and stay safe through picking up points at home against lower-tier clubs. They've done it for years. Which results are miseading? The 5-1 v Sunderland or 5 v 1 Bolton? The 2-1 against Blackpool or 1-0 v Arsenal? The 1-0 v Everton or 2-1 v Stoke? Keep going and you'll eventually see an imbalance.
  4. For the record, I stand by my pre-season prediction of 17th, but I do think something will have to change for us to survive. Either Hughton or his way of thinking.

  6. You're one big utter joke. So we still going wipe the floor of spurs then, the joke's on you. You think we are going to get relegated but will smash spurs apart. Your f***ing deluded. You should be in a cage.
  7. Embarrassing. So lets disregard our positive performances/results, because clearly the negative ones are a far better indicator of our potential as a side this season under Hughton yeah? For no reason other than you being afraid that thats the case. You couldnt be further from levelheaded atall. If you can look at our results (especially our home results - which is mostly what JH posted) without being genuinely worried about going down, you either aren't a fan, or you aren't sane.
  8. Neesy's entirely driven by his bias, always has been. I look back and laugh at him blaming John Terry for the 0-0 with Algeria, says it all about him.
  9. Go on, keep exaggerating it all. Go on, keep being unrealistic, love owt like that Unrealistic? I'm not asking us to play like f***ing Chelsea every week and if you bothered to actually f***ing open your eyes you'd see it. I don't think it's unrealistic to expect more than 2 points against Stoke, Blackpool, Wigan, Fulham, Blackburn and Bolton. If that's as good as we are, then we don't deserve to be in this league. It really is almost laughable that, like. It screams relegation.
  10. Still he should be sticking to his position of RM more than he does, did we actually create a good attack from our right-side in the 1st 50 mins Also barton can play the position well and adapt to it, why can't guthrie? Cos he's so limited as a footballer. He's less of a natural athlete than Barton and less of a footballer. Doesn't justify the rubbish you've been coming out with as he's easily our 4th best in his natural position. We looked our absolute best last season when we were getting him on the ball as often as possible in CM. Last season in the championship woopie f***ing do. Considering it relates to all but a few of our players, and you were talking about him being unworthy in the context of the squad, yes. Yet more complete rubbish to add to the forest fire.
  11. For a split-second I thought you'd finally spelled his name correctly.

  13. We had almost a full squad of players to choose from against Blackpool and Stoke. The excuses have got to stop.
  14. Guthrie knows better than anyone he's being misused out wide. Not his fault.
  15. Guthrie is a good Championship CM. Which easily earns him a place on our bench.
  16. If Barton was injured, on the bench or suspended for anything other than being a pleb, I'd agree. As he was a pleb, I don't and you're wrong. Both are to blame. So, my point stands then. What you're saying, is that if Barton was injured, Hughton would be moreso to blame for picking Smith? Daft. Of course I would. Does it not compute to you that Smith/Guthrie/whoever else isn't as good as Barton wouldn't be picked if Barton hadn't been stupid and got suspended? You're arguing that because Hughton shares the blame, his mistake is less pertinent. There is no excuse for playing Alan Smith. Joey Barton and Tiote being suspended don't justify it.

  18. I want to point out that i've come to respect and somewhat admire him over the last few months. I get the distinct feeling that we've seen the beginning of the end today.
  19. It's nobody else's fault but Hughton's that he's picked Alan Smith again. It's as simple as that. There's no excuse for it, whatsoever.
  20. And if Barton wasn't an idiot against Blackburn Hughton wouldn't have that problem. So it's Barton's fault that Hughton picks the wrong players in his absence? It's Barton's fault for putting his manager in a position where he has to pick from a pool of player who are sadly probably not good enough. What the hell did punching Pedersen achieve other than helping us to drop a few more points in the last few games. Same with Colo today and his inevitable three match ban. The players are hardly helping Hughton in this respect. That's all well and good. But you can't wrap Hughton in cotton wool and claim it isn't his fault simply because his options are limited. He's the f***ing manager, not a poster on here struggling to post a starting Xl in the pre-match thread. People expect us to lose to superior team, even badly. What people don't expect, is to see the same mistakes to be repeated and points thrown away before the first whistle is blown. Then why are you wrapping Barton in cotton wool and going straight to Hughton, it's a two way street. So saying that the selection of Smith falls on Hughton's shoulders is me 'wrapping Barton in cotton wool'? Daft. It's an example of it, aye. You've conveniently ignored why Barton isn't playing. Barton got suspended over a week ago, man. We all know what he did was stupid. You're just bringing him up now in defence of Hughton's ridiculous management.
