  1. If Carroll can maintain this level of form, he'll surpass the league totals Shearer achieved in his last 5 seasons, even without penalties. I think he's on the verge of being as good as Shearer post-injury.
  2. Could we not have devised a better thread title?

    Louis Saha

Yeah, like you didn't write him off, half the forum did - I was just happened to be a little more vocal than most. I had the courage to stick with my convictios till I was proved wrong and admitted it. People like you run from your opinions when there's the slightest hint you might be wrong. That's the true definition of a gobshite.

Not andy carroll though. Yeah, and I was really isolated in that judgement. See the thread after the Man City (h) game in 2008.
  5. It was, until the WUMs got their teeth into him and everyone followed suit. Just about everyone bar Colocho agrees that he was an absolute bargain. As for it being a 'great' partnership, we all know better.
  6. He's as slow as defenders come, man. To say he has no glaring weaknesses is daft. He's also weak and very, very poor on the ball.

    Louis Saha

Saha was just about the only young player that I knew would make it, from the very start. Remember that 4-1 against Coventry in 99; he scored and looked like solid ball of ice that could be sculped into a diamond.
  8. We've yet to see tbh.Colo rarely misses a game. 3 out of the 4 losses last season came with him out of the side. Including that embarrassment down at Derby.
  9. The real success story tonight happens to be mine. Because of the stupid f***ing bet I posted earlier, I made a tidy £50 profit. Fifty f***ing quid. I will use this to buy 3 bottles of half-decent wine to drink on my balcony whilst pissing on the innocent persons passing below.
  10. Jesus Christ. Didn't think you would peddle that rubbish. 9 men behind the ball with 80 minutes on the clock. I think most teams do that against Manchester United. You're suggesting three were in attack with that as well. Rangers know they are the weaker side ffs, they just need to nick a goal. Not when a draw amounts to nothing and win could amount to qualification they don't.

  12. Rangers would rather avoid defeat to the big bad English than take a risk and perhaps qualify. Pricks.
  13. Had my worst weekend in ages last time round, so i'm no longer on a roll, mind. I managed to reduce losses to £50 thanks once again to Barca and Real. What the hell would we do without em?
  14. £10 on: Barca -1 Man U Valencia Inter £5 on: Barca Man U Valencia Inter Shalke-D-Lyon Benfica Spurs
  15. In fairness, only one person has been stupid enough to express that opinion.
  16. No-one is saying the premier league is by far the best league in the world like. Feeble attempt at a strawman. At the end of the day it's a cup competition, and any team that makes it to the final stages could win it depending on a lot of factors on the day. Liverpool won it FFS, and it's been decades since the last time they had a sniff of winning our league. A better indicator would be consistency in getting to the latter stages and strength in depth. Finalists: 6 English (4 teams) 6 Spanish (3 teams) 5 Italian (3 teams) 3 German (2 teams) 1 French 1 Portuguese Semi-finalists: 15 English (5 teams) 14 Spanish 7 Italian 4 German 2 French 1 Portuguese 1 Dutch Quarter-finalists: 26 English 21 Spanish 15 Italian 9 German 6 French 4 Portuguese 3 Dutch 2 Turkish 1 Russian 1 Greek Spain and England stand out by miles, not much in it. Not much sight however of teams from the mighty Dutch league Mr Petrovic Good work. I think that's the anti-English bias shredded to bits.
  17. Yeah, beneath the surface. Providing you can watch, of course. Sick fuck.
  18. Coloccini's far more vital to that side than Barton, despite the latter's recent assists.
  19. It's not, simply because one of our most vital players is missing.
  20. He's comparing the PL and La Liga and uses Blackburn and Stoke as perfect examples of our football. The guy's a f***ing retard. That's very much not what he said. He said: He was using them as examples of anti-football, not as examples of the Prem as a whole. That theory very much relies on Neesy having seen La Liga's equivalent in stature to Blackburn and Stoke. How likely do you think this is, given that the lad barely seems to watch our games?
  21. And 4 more against Arsenal. There's room for improvement, certainly. I'm amazed we've not seen Campbell partner Colo at some point.
  22. Isn't that the same for teams all over the world though? I can't believe many teams outside the established elite of most leagues could cope with losing 2-3 key players and still produce. Exactly, a bit of common sense.
